sniper supra , those earbud's that make gps work on the k850 that mark is talking about are the same kind of earbud's you find everywhere like for the ipod for example and they don't stay in well. This is same kind that come with the n95 for listening to your local radio station's, so i know even myself they are not comfortable. Then add driving into that and turning your head to look at your mirror's while connected by wire's for gps. Oh yeh! That's real safe! Mark is completely right! How's it going nick!

i have k850i for my Rogers
and w810i for my Smart Gold 3G (Roaming number).
my k850i and w810i meet all my need
and what i want in mobile phones.
i don't need to go argue in other brands' forum...
i'm just satisfied.

I never said the k850 is the best fone but i proved my point.You have not gone to the alcatel or philips or o2 or any other site to disrespect any other fone have you,,you are jealous to be so concerned about this fone..Why dont you have a go at any other fone here are hundreds to choose from its just the k850 that concerns you which is nice of you really

so far we have people suggesting wired headphones to replace GPS
we have java applications replacing sis applications
and apparently having less features is good.

Sniper supra's solution to gps on the k850 those awful and uncomfortable earbud's that are wired to the phone while you are driving. They fall out all the time. This is sony ericson's solution to not having gps built into the k850! What a joke. Even the iphone external gps is a better idea than this ,it's hand's free! This is just another way for sony ericson to get your money. The k850 was made this way to accept these ridiculous earbud's as gps. You got someone guiding you with voice direction's in your ear and someone else is trying to talk to you in the car! Ha Ha!!

the battery after the firmware is updated isnt that bad anymore actually. and cmon, i use the N95 for music everyday and theres no way it dies after 3 hours.

Can this phone connect to a video projector for presentations? And how about GPS? What OS does it use because I have a few symbian (or something like that)applications.

i have never liked Symbian Phones ever i owned a N-Gage back in 2000 it was like HELL owning that phone..battery lasted 1 hour..and constantly kept crashing and restarting!
yes i know Nokia has come along way since then..but when i had a N95 for 1 day rented it off my uncle, hes sold it now haha..anyway i was just listening to music on it with a 1GB card..the battery lasted 3 Hours! and then it was DEAD! my W850i with a 4GB card..and loads of applications in it ..lasts 4-5 days with Music !
yes i know N95 has all the features..but its Symbian let me down....i just hope if i get N95 8GB thats if i do..its exceeeds my expectations!
otherwise il stick with my W850i for another 2 Years!

dani just accept symbian doesnt go all slowly when your multitasking. the speed just remains the same.
id like to see you stream something from the internet on your phone, whilst broadcasting it through a bluetooth headset, the k850 cant do it because the processor isnt quick enough.
also java isnt the way to go! its like so 1998 and you cant do alot with java applications. they cant utilise a phones features like proper applications can

@ dani. You are wired to the phone and they are very uncomfertable. I never see people using those horrible thing's whether they have good sound quality or not!! Try motorola ht820 or jabra bluetooth headphone's and you would never want to use those ridiculous earbud's ever again!!

yes i know it has proccessor ! but so what?
if it doesnt slow down or crash like most Symbians do..
then Java is the Best way to go.
