the stupid argument where the SE fans claim having less features is better has arisen again.
"i wouldnt use wifi or GPS, therefore the K850 is a better phone"
oh well thats logical isnt it.
The Nseries phones set the standard, and its up to other companies to try and keep up. K850, certainly doesnt do this.
"oh but its not trying to keep up with the N 95/n82"
then why do you all claim its better than the n95/n82 then?
i thought the point made my junk skunk on the other page was very good too.

please next time you post here post your name with it.at least we would be sure that you are not a chating bot.when you take any kind of action atleast have that courage to be responsible fo what you do.
i also had a k850i but i sold it cause in my personal opinion the pic quality was not that good like my current phone N82.
i live in a country where we do not have 3g or wifi and most of all i do not need gps.i went directly for the k850 and my only purpose was the camera, but k850 didn't make that much impression when it comes to pic quality, but my n82 really did well on that part.
this was my personal opinion or reason.

what is your problem.Atleast be sure what you have.

K850i is the most Stable 5MP Phone!
and these random *pup-up* nameless people who big up Nokia ...why ? why? why?
it wont change our decicions ..

Why are nameless people telling us these things?
I really don't know - maybe they just want to brag something.
We've always told people that the N82 and N95 are not suitable competitors to our K850i.
But what could we do if we really are satisifed with our phones? ^_^
geesh... At least Nick and Junk do have a lot more sense than those "pop-up" people - they just came out from nowhere.
To answer earlier questions
charging should be around 2.5 hours with full battery drained.
video quality is QVGA@30fps, and possibly a bitrate of 300 upwards.

sniper supra is right its just the bashing when we are all mobile phone fans..
WE know that things are still a way off in in getting a good product and wat were doing know is choosing wats on offer...
We have laser projecters,,high def video recording,,better batterys,,new lenses coming (orinally electro wetting)and brighter leds so we turn down britehess extending battery life even more...fold out colour screens and solar power covering the outside of fone so its constantly charged as you use it in the light and wi-max as well plus most of looks..If you look at mobiles except for clamshell nothing feels like your landline fone they are just thes mono blocks that are uncomfortable on the ear..
I am glad i am living in this era and hope to live a long as possible just to see what future tech brings but things are going to have to speed up because files are getting bigger as megapixels go up etc but the ratio of processors is lagging way behind in tru terms,,
I am only 36!! sounds like i am on my death bed but heres to the future..CHEERS

I have N95 (Sold), N95 8GB (Gave to GF), N82 and K850i.
User Friendly N82
Clear and Nice Pics K850i
So who those of you who comment so much on all the phone try to be like me a bit. Please make sure you test it yourself.
I bought all the mention phone and use them at least for a month or 2 before i post any forum post out at website.
I spend around 20K Ringgit Malaysia or 6K USD on phone a year.
So i think my comment is neutral.
I like N82 because it is much user frenly and ease to use.
But for music and taking pictures wise i would prefer K850i, fast accurate and more sharp.
So for those of you who like to have nice music and pics choose K850i. want just basic phone like fast sms and call then choose N82.
Don't choose N95 both of them suck and got problem.
N95 have the tendency of lagging when using the camera while N95 8GB have problem with Transferring data is super lagging and sometimes disconnect himself.

GPS Wi-Fi, etc. is not really important,
it is just a TREND
that's why SE try to supply these EXTRA, seldom-used GPS feature through accessories.
as if you use it all the time.
and as if your phone can sustain life long enough to guide you to the place you want to go.

To answer some of your questions, the w960i was a convergence between Walkman and PDA brand, so I might say that its a smart phone. And thus in the same category with the N95 and N82 smartphones, so some features are that of a smartphone. But it still, limits some of its function cause Sony E. doesn't want to create an all-in-one phone.
It is SE's market strategy. Putting an all-in-one phone would shift the market into one product and the rest falls apart.
SE wants to have more choices and separates concentrated functions such as Cyber-shot, Walkman, PDA and Stylized low-end phones.
And really, there's no need to post long facts I've already told you that long long ago, haven't I?

Oh and allan, can you not see that whenever a new topic comes around, there's always someone to negate what was been stated? So if I tell you something about the gps enabler, obviously someone would disagree then state facts, or opinions.

whatever ya all...SE K850i and W960 both fails to deliver on their advertised claims...
Question:
1. why do we see a slow motion effect on both cameras -k850i,w960i,specially on low-light condition? annoying...more apparent on w960i...you have got to make your subject completely still or else ..boom! slow motion...how do we fix this? but hey, i dont worry about this much since i got my n82...VGood camera...hmm..never had this prob with my n82...
2. if WLAN is not so important an asset...why is it included in w960i?Wifi comes with my n82...
3.if GPS is not so important why are ya'all trying hard to imitate it by having all these GPS earbuds etc..hmm..GPS is a default with my n82...
4.if a 3.5mm jack isn't so important, why would SE produce a 3.5mm jack adapter?hmmm...its a default with my n82...
5.if java would've been the better choice, i wonder why SE got Symbian OS v9.1, UIQ 3.0 on w960i, same with P1i??? my n82 is a sonic symbian device..never had any slow-dull moment...
6. btw, which has the brighter xenon flash? i got both, and i know which can cause a 3sec afterburn...hehehe
7. is there such a huge difference watching a 30fps QVGA film versus a 30fps truVGA clip on a widescreen plasma TV using tv-out?hmmmm..my n82 can do that...in style...
8. any difference with playing video heavy java games with an independent video rendering chip?? try playing Need for Speed on my k850i, wasn't very entertaining, too much lag, no prob with my n82...
9. Office documents...my n82 comes with mobile office by default...never bothered with my k850i. how important is it anyway??hmm...it is for me...
10.n82 has 1 OS update, as far as i know...how may updates have we had for k850i?and still going right??
i'm really at a lost how people who does not even own n82 or k850 got the audacity to speak for or against the units.
i got both k850i and n82. BOTH!
