I owned this phone for two days, and it was fantastic during the time. Great pictures, auto rotation for pictures and video. Keys were small and weird but it wasn't uncomfortable. In response to the recent post, for some strange reason you have to use Mass Storage mode ( not media mode) for the media program to transfer music and pictures to the phone, I was rather excited to get this working and when it was finished , I ejected the phone but apparently this wasn't enough and when I disconnected the usb cable, the phone wouldn't turn on again no matter what, only mass storage mode would work. I got this phone when it first came out, I love Sony Ericsson especially for the camera, but this phone was fragile and disappointed me, so I returned the phone where I bought it and told them it was defective( took a while) and instead of replacment , I choose store credit and bought a Nokia N95( because it was proven to work with no bugs), everyone says they prefer the quality with the N95 saying it's the best but I still feel my pictures I took with the K850 were better( and I keep them saved to remember).
K850 video really does suck in comparison even for 320x240, but I read recent firmware imporved this, but ericsson was never good with video recording anyway.

based on my search,the can supports two kinds of memory card.but the K850i use one mc a time.so it cant use two memory card a time.sorry for my english,im a malaysian.;P

guys, you must need to know that the n95 has flex which means dat upon usage of it for series of months, it retires.. masisira xa agad.. if you have fones like dat, take good care of it coz it can last for a while only just like what happened on my n80... bar fones like the n82 or the k850 are better... my n70 is already 2 years wid me... nokia keeps on releasing sliding fones but to repair it when destroyed, it takes you to spend a lot that buying a brand new phone is already an option... hehe

is there any other Ericsson mobile with better quality in pictures and video? Maybe the Lg Ku990 (with 120 fps)?

I have had this phone 3 months and had it replaced 3 times.
1. Software failed and phone died.
2. Speeker stoped working so couldnt here any one.
3. Camera died.

after the firmware update, the camera is pretty quick on the N95. I'd rather wait for longer for the picture to develop than get a crappy quality one from the k850i.
Don't even argue with me about the camera, just look at the 5mp camera comparison.

SE K850 dont have WLAN, not like Nokia N95 w/ nokia N95 i can connect anywhere specially when im in a wi-fi zone

come on!!! think logically!!! if your going to watch the video taken by n95 and k850 in youtube you wont see the difference in resolution and framerate because youtube is going to resize the video resolution and the frame rate.,
what's the sense of comparing VGA to QVGA? the winner is obvious., i'm a SE fan but really disappointed with this phone.,i'm not going to change my k810i until a better SE phone that can record videos in VGA resolution will be release.

hi there.
to everyone who owns this phone, is the rotation keys hard to control? it seems disturbing. usually is above the numbers, now is in the middle. and is there any other disadvantage of this phone?

I heard that the new firmware for this fone has been released last week..has anyone try it? Can anyone give me info whether this new firmware has solved most of the bugs & problems on the K850, especially this one: the fone lags a lot when u browse the fone while playing music on the media player (minimized mode) and the softkey is just not sensitive enough...
it's a great fone actually, i really love it, n will love it more when those bugs were fixed...
and one more thing, this fone supports 2 types of memory card but does it have more than 1 slot or just 1 slot for two types of memory, need confirmation on this
any information will be appreciated, thanks...

the Camera and Battery life and Music capabilities are Both better on K850i !
iv tested them both myself N95 and K850i
and K850i = Best 5MP and Walkman Music which is Unbeatable
N95 = Unsatisfactory Music. Camera could of been better and plus the Camera shutter takes ages to save the picture on N95 !

i mean the battery is better on the k850, not the camera
