Actually the N73 doesn't have any optical zoom althought it is equipped with Carl Zeiss lens. But still, both the Nokia N95 and N93 is equipped with optical zooming functionality. It's actually a pity that there is no optical zoom in the K850. As stated, the K850 is a Cybershot phone. That means that photo shooting comes first. Anyway, althought there's no optical zoom, it's still a great phone overall, focusing on it's features & functionalities.

        To Ed
Actually Nokia phones does have optical zoom. And the phone models that have optical zoom are exactly what Zubair had mentioned earlier.

I see what you're saying. But ppl as a whole dont want or need a smartphone OS in a media phone. Its slow, it crashes , it freezes. The k850 is a media phone. The a200 platform isnt as refined as it needs to be, i know. For most ppl out the k850 is a "all-in-one" device. I dont need to open documents on my phone. I have a computer. I would like it to have vga video though. Outside of that it is missing nothing for me.

You are grossly misinformed. Not a single Nokia has optical zoom. Most have 20x Digital zoom. Only phone that has optical and is available to the world is the samsung g800. Ant it is only 3x. Any digital zoom goes blurry at its max. Even on stand-alone digital cameras it goes blurry when zoomed past optical and into the digital range.

Its a photo-shopped mock up by a user. There are a million of them out there. In fact there are better ones than this. http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=158095
Then there are phones that are as good as the concepts. We'll just never see them.
http://www.sonyericsson.co.jp/product/docomo/so905ics/ That phone would shut-up any critic.

Nokia N93 and N95 and N73 have optical zoom and when u are giving 5 megapixels then u should give optical zoom and i tried taking picture at 4X zoom and when i saw the result, nothing was clear... Again i will say, failure and wastage of 5 MP camera and also poor sound. Check BenqSiemens S88, compare the sound and camera although it has 2 MP camera but much better and sound is awesome.

It's a niice phone..the most important point is the battery's life..and the resolution..but, is there anything new about the fonts?

Hi guyz. I read a review in phonearena.com about the touch screen area that (touchscreen area keeps cutting off calls or sends the user into a menu he didnt need or want!, and there is no way of locking this panel whilist talking!)
                              Is this review true ???

                                @brynn

If SE wants competition, they should start making "all-in-one" phones like Nokia.

                                Right now, Nokia already has 3 all-in-one devices: N95(and its 8GB variant), N81(also has a 8GB variant), and N82.

It's about time that the other brands like Samsung, Moto, and SE make phones like N95 but with better build quality and more affordable price. That way there will be competition

you do know that its you customers who buy s/e products and its you that keeps them going...Therefore its up to you to bully,,email,,write to s/e to raise your issues that you want normal series 60 in your fones and better video recording..
When i see all these debates it reminds me of schumacher constantly winning f1 it gets boring and wat we need is fresh competition,,all that is missing from most people buying s/e is decent mpeg4 video recording in a good resolution and their fave series 60 apps,,but ,,their is no other choice but nokia and there goes any real competition and i am sure s/e can up video recording you s/e fans have said it for 2 years now that s/e will bring out handycam fone but they have not,,Then comes the debate about s/e tends to ditch one item for another for eg they bring in walkman but ditch cyber shot etc so even if they brought out a decent video recording mobile would they miss out walkman, cybershot etc???..nokia brings the whole lot together in one unit and maybe thats wat you s/e fans should be pushing s/e for so we have real competition,,thanks for listening brynn

How've you encoded the MP4 file? The size of the file might be a problem, but otherwise, if it's meant to fit cellphone screens or a size likewise, then it's just something else.
What's the size of the file and how long is it?

                                      TSQB (ary afzan)-
K880, the K850's successor which MAY be true. If it is, then you can look forward to that phone. It's much more advanced. It has A-GPS as a plus, for all you NokiaFanBoys, and it has Bluetooth 2.1+EDR which lets you tap the corner of the phone against a bluetooth picture frame to instantly upload pictures, or other various solutions like tap and print or touch and go bluetooth headset connections.
Perhaps this time they'll have a cardslot that also lives up to it's name, dual memory card slot, being able to hold M2 and MicroSD cards for a realistic 16GB of memory with two 8GB cards respectively. Hopefully as well, they don't skip out on the Tri-Band HSDPA, because that was a big bonus in the K850. Video calling and download speeds of 3.6Mbps without having to even touch the settings, the K850 did it all by itself.

                                      Cheers
