SE is d best..the K850 is not crap...it's better than any N series of Nokia. Nokia users just cant accept the fact.SE's K790i ,having only 3.2 mega pixel beat N95's 5.0 mega pixel..hw's that...it's quality..not sales....just that Nokia is a mobile giant doesn't mean it makes d best...

The fact that boy genius is reporting that att is saying about a march release time for this! Sux...that mean many people will have it making it not special!...I guess I'm going for N82!

This question is for K850i owners :
I remember that before this phone was released they used to say in their pre-release reviews that this phone would have a special feature and it is : "The K850 comes with stylish light effects to make listening to music on the handset even more enjoyable". Supposedly, this means the lights on the phone will turn on and off along the rhythm of the music thats being currently played. I own a K850i and I havent seen that yet. Maybe I just dont know how to turn it on...
So, if a K850i owner here knows how to turn this on or how I can make it work, PLEASE tell me how....I will appreciate it !

I'm also getting this phone straight from HK, hopefully not branded then unlocked, and I'll see if I can prove your point of branded phones being the hindered ones.
Hopefully that is/isn't the case and that my phone is unbranded completely.
We'll be seeing the verdict MAYBE (after) tomorrow.
Also you know, I think you're right. K850's camera is professional grade, and the pictures keep coming out bad because they're being used by people who use point and shoot cameras or Nokia cameras which need no adjusting at all, because they're amature class. That and they replicate completely fake colors and tempuratures which is never wanted within a picture, unless you were trying to please a kid.

I don't see why I have to hide. Maybe you have to, because you're not wanted here with your stupidity in posts. Just based on the extra things that you couldn't get because the N95 or N82 was to pricey for you, or because you simply couldn't get it, doesn't mean you have to come here and take it out on the next best phone.

You would know about the quality grade here in Canada if you were here. Indeed we do have the option to import phones, but even then the quality of Nokia phones are just around average. But I'll give you this. I know there are Sony Ericsson phones that do have the worst of quality of any phone. Their strategy is that they will release phones early with low quality then build up afterwards. I've never encountered for myself, a SE with low quality build, but atleast SE has a wide array of quality phones which surpass Nokia, and at other times fall more horribly then Nokia. I'd rather take that risk and get the highest quality, rather then stay at a standard.
If there are people that will be curious of the quality of the camera, if I get this phone, I will be posting up a project that I'm starting online. It's already a wellknown kind of photography medium, but I will be taking 1-3 photos per day, documenting my day to day traveling for about a month. You might not see quality pictures at first, but as the 30 and some days pass by, I'll learn what is the best way to use this camera, and I'll be also posting hints or opening up a public forum for people to ask questions or suggest a certain way to see how the camera performs. I'll be back with more on this.
(By the way, this is actually how this kind of forum is suppose to work. It's suppose to help people with experience of the phone, of similar phones and help people to buy this phone, or tell what people might not like about this phone, not bashing it and telling people that this other alternative is better, because it's only better for the person who's saying it is, because it pleases their eyes or their ego.)

to tomax,,when you say 3 led video light can this be used as a torch,,i have not got fone yet but their does not seem a definate answer to if the k850 has torch function and need truth from people who genuingly have it..thank you,,local farmer,,,oh and also would you say it was on par for signal strength thanx

Also in well-lit areas disable flash. I have seen it darken a otherwise bright area. Only happens on some phones though. Like I said update the firmware. It seems that most of sek850 problems have been those that were released and branded by the carriers. Try that and I'll be curious if it helps.

Be sure you're holding the phone correctly when taking a pic. (no fingers on camera side, messes with light sensor. Pamphlet enclosed with phone displaying proper holding.) If that doesn't help, update firmware, there is a flash-sync problem with some batches.

YOU guys i was so shocked to find out that my camera had a big problem with in 24 hrs of purchase i took picture in my bright room and it came out dark i try adjusting every thing still the same result !!!! i am quite sad about that other than that the phone is great !!!!!

Hope you can plug your n95 into one of the coconut trees down there in the phillpines, because it needs to be charged constantly. Atleast twice a day. Your memory card ? has been answered, just read back.

by the way, have anyone tried Sandisk MicroSDHC 4GB and up for K850?? it seems to be maximum 2GB will be K850 can take. hope MicroSDHC works on K850

Damn, isn't too expensive price for K850? in Philippines it costs PHP 23400 (equals to US$ 530) while the N95 costs PHP 24400 (equals to US$ 550),,, just makes me go for N95 which is more superior,,, hope K850 price tag drops down!

Music player is very good. Comes with crap headphones cause it isn't walkman branded. I'd switch em out. Same player as walkman series though. Megabass.
