why dont you ppl understand one thing about n95 GPS, u have to pay to hear the voices. buy a dedicated one for half the price of a n95 and u get EVERYTHING for FREE. why do ppl keep sayin n95 is a great gps fone, i have a nokia 6110 navigator and gps is 9/10 next to a real gps unit but it dont cost me ova gprs to use it. i have a k850i aswel and its 8/10 a real camera. and it also checks my mail while im at work and i can also browse the net. so k850 does the job for me, n95 would also do the job too but probly get broken in my pocket due to all the moving parts and size of it, the k850 wont fall apart as it doesnt slide or flip or move. neways this post is all about k850's so nokia fans bugger off and let us enjoy our fones.

Wow, thats alotta post. I thought i posted alot. I will greatly appreciate your project but, you know no matter how good or bad your pics are nokia missionaries are still going to rip em. You should take 1st batch with a SLR, just to mess with them. "those pics suck." Make em' look dumber than they already do.

Also forgetting to mention, I'd also included in my humongous post that moderators are probably chewing through right now that I was going to do a documentation of my day to day traveling with the K850, and indeed, I will be getting it first as I had a decision between the W910 and the K850 of which one I would be getting first before the other after some time.
With this project that I have for an assignment, I will be starting a photo album of 1-3 pictures per day for about a month or so, and perhaps an open forum for comments, PRODUCTIVE AND CONSTRUCTIVE criticism about my pictures and perhaps tips or suggestions on how to use the camera, or trials the people want me to do to see the quality of this phone.
More on this soon as the phone comes tomorrow.

                  Cheers
                  -kDnq
(Also, this is how this kind of forum SHOULD run. It should help people make their decision upon this phone without the futile egos of Nokia users and fans alike. Stop creating this tension between the K850 and the N95. For people who choose this phone, good for them. They feel that they have more class and quality coming from 500 dollars, rather then a slightly larger phone in size, features and screen diagonal costing them from 700-1000 dollars. It's not the price that matters too, though there is a place where I'd draw the line, and that'd be at 700 for this phone, which I'm glad it's under.
I hope my project will help Nokia users settle their pallet of mystery behind the picture quality of this phone, and help people choose between phones.
For this to happen, I'd like to reach a hand out to someone who has any version of the N95, hopefully the best version which I think people are saying is the N95 8GB-3[North American version] and do the project with me. Of course, pictures will be very different, atmosphere, lighting and effects will be all different, but this is to bring out the best in both phones, to show they stand on both their own stages, and upon the same class level as well. It is just an option, but either way, I'm in this forum and will be with this phone soon to show what kind of quality this phone has. As well, at first the quality of pictures may not be up to standard, but with more then 30 days time when the project should be due, pictures will hopefully come out great.
Email me at blackwargrey mon_448 [at] hawtmael [dawt] com, thank you.)

                    I've written a few comments already which have yet to be processed by moderators, but if they don't get accepted here is what I said;

                    Huo-
K850 stands beside the N95, and those two phones stand over the N82.
I've no reason to hide, and stop coming on to the forums as if you're something big, because you're not.

                    Ed-
Simply put, I see that this camera is professional grade, but people who use point and shoot cameras like the ones on the Nokia N series which need no alterations, are using this camera wrong. They call the camera quality bad because of the hyper active colors they are already presented with by their cameras which replicate fake colors. The opinion is also usually bias since the K850 came second, leaving the N95 as the medium, which is very horribly wrong.

                    vpd1 (Sam)-
VP(C/D)-, please stop hiding under alot of names or what not, if you're different people, I take back my mistake, but if not and you'll continue to deceive people, it's ok to feel embarrassed, lol.
By the way, everyone knows that the video resolution is LOWER then the N95. It doesn't suck like your opinion.
Also, yes the review here is very clear, it's a very good unbias opinion. It suggests the K850 if you didn't know for one, and if you didn't care about video resolution, K850 would actually be indeed the dominating phone.
I will also ask again, how often within a month do you even take videos for it to matter from the nearly minuscule difference of video resolution from the K850 and N95?
Also, please stop resetting your modem/router, it gets so annoying to see something done so stupid. If you feel very passionate of the N95/N82's superior video the GTFO.

                    0mae (Ali)-
I'm sorry you feel that. Other then the speed, how was the experience of the phone within those few hours?

                    nxwT (Nick)-
If you're too in love with your N95, then GTFO already. The N95's won your battle already, and don't try to change any of our opinions here because it's just always a futile effort.
Also, with those little things, Nokia puts themselves where they want to be, not where you see them as. The N95 is not a cellphone, it is a mobile compact computer, which K850 is not. Now that's great and all, but I do not want a mobile compact computer. I want a cellphone, not something that records DVDs, not something that unzips files, not something that uses realplayer (seriously, who uses that slow player?) and not something that's classified as a computer by the company themselves.
The K850 IS a CELLPHONE, and takes everything that CELLPHONE NEEDS, and puts it into one package.
Voice calls, video calls, camera, media player, organizer, flashlight, games.
Basically the functions of a phone with quality, and entertainment. Nothing for production, because to me, I find that phones are for personal use, not for anyone else.

On the last note, vG1v (kth), VERY TRUE.

                    Cheers
                    -kDnq

Here are some pic links for people to see what the k850i is capable of in proper hands. Some are people that know photography, some are amateurs. The best ones you have to register to view. Still impressive and should help people decide who are interested in this phone.

K850's video may stink but its camera is still the best on the market. Symbian OS stinks!

Because SYMBIAN OS SUCKS! It lags, freezes, crashes. Needs restarts daily. No matter how many firmware updates it gets, it still stinks on ice. Who wants a media phone with smartphone annoyances'? If you really need to do business on your phone then buy a proper smartphone.(QWERTY) If my SE's crashed on a daily basis I'd hit em' with a sledge hammer, and certainly wouldn't be in other forums saying that SE was better.

Gentlemen, I have bught SE K850. But unfortunatly did not last with me except for few houres. I was disappionted with its performance, specially with camera. I think that K810 with its 3.2 mpx camera takes much petter pics that K850.

I think the n82 does look quite simililar but by no means a copy. Its just absolutely stuffed full of features and its a great phone. the battery is also better, and with a slightly smaller screen, it should be good.

cant say ill be getting one though, im too in love with my n95.
