its specs are better than of g800.no joystick...thx god!.battery life is awsome since my w800 is givin me sh?t !.was hoping 4 atleast 2.4inch display n now hoping the retail price will be reasonable.gud job se,i'm buying this one

I just bought the phone today, the best feature is the touch screen, the phone is fast and the picture quality is good.
This is the first SE phone I buy, I had a Nokia N80 before.
Excellent job SE.

@Bubz, don't waste your money, it's a scam, no matter how you look at it.
To those who complaint about the price, blame the seller for "setting" the price high, Sony haven't even announce the Manufacture Suggested Retail Price yet. So whatever you spend are definitely OVERPRICED. Do we still need to argue 256k colors, no wifi, video recording? Obviously the phone fit certain user's lifestyle, it definitely is a perfect handset for me. I don't care about the screen color as I rarely look at the screen more than an hour a day, wifi on a phone just don't offer the same. I use wifi on my laptop which I prefer and please tell me how often do you see a business profession wearing suit presenting his/her work on cellphone? I'd rather look at my 17in than my little 3in screen. Video recording on a phone is just a extra feature, my sony N1 offers great video recording so I don't care much. Just my 2 cents.

I wanted the Luminous Green instead of the Velvet Blue.. but o well.. K850 is a K850.. probably going to get the Luminous Green housing when it's out.. lol

yeah it has mineral glass to enhance graphic interface of the phone.

i'm a photographer and beleive me the 850 is far better than some digital cameras out there.
|The samsung photo to photos does not dish out as good photography as the sony, which did well even in nightclubs with its lovely xenon flash, much better the an LED flash.

I rang SE and they said the release date was yesterday but the shops are getting the stock in on the 18th, you can pre order it by calling them they said but charge for delievery, in total it would of cost me 548 EURO to get it, mad expensive. Think I'll wait for it to come on ebay.

I had a lot of expectation on this phone's Camera, but the camera shootouts dissapointed me. I think the LG Viewty is more better than this phone. I am not an N95 fan but I think the 8GB model will be the best phone on the market when it is launched.

Does the K850 have mineral glass?

Is the K850 quad-band or not? As they top spec line next to K850 doesn't have the 850mhz band, but the K858 does. But below that, it says it does have it again. Which is true? I think K850i (in Europe) may only be a tri-band phone!!
