Who needs a GPS when you can get one with handsfree wired-earphones. Why slide your screen out of the way for music buttons when you could possibly (may not be true, but I'm hoping it is) use the touchsensitive buttons (if they are, or just the rubber buttons at the bottom of the screen) for music?
And I'd take this UI over the Symbian OS any day for it having two display orientations and it's reliable enough so that it doesn't crash. If you're a wire person, then why have another 3.5 jack when you need to accept the call (if you want it to be handsfree) with the regular headset port or the handset itself?
Our radio has RDS too, which is a nice plus.
Everything the N95 has, SE has already covered in purchase-able add-ons. Only that it needs just ONE port.

    dude, we've been comparing the N95 to this phone, and N95 loses in so many places, it IS funny.
    But the only reason we don't flame N95, is because of obvious reasons, and because we're sorry for the N95, being trumped by such a simple creation. It's like "who'da thunkit?"
    So go back to your Nokia board, and stay there with your many repeated candybars and formfactors.
    Remember, the only phones to crash, are Smartphones. Lemme see, oh this ain't a smart phone, and it doesn't slide (or flip). So no matter how many times I slide across somewhere (or flip this around), atleast it won't freeze!

    That and N95's battery sucks, which is the bottom line. No one wants to hurry to a wall outlet before their phonecall gets dropped because of some insignificant battery that Nokia stuffed into that brick.
    I think people are coming this specific K series because of it's looks, it's 5Mp cam, and the fact that the K and W series, or SE in general, have always been VERY reliable for battery life, even under heavy usage. From my W810 making a 3 hour phone call, then 22 hours music straight (I left it on by accident), to trying my friends W850, which took around 200 pictures with flash, 2 hours of talk time and another 19 hours of music.
    Those phones would survive for two days under intense usage. But the N95 would have to see the wall everyday, perhaps even twice. Now that we're coming down to newer models from Sony Ericsson, expect better and MORE competitive batteries to power these cellular flagships, which means a very big pro for this phone, above N95.

          he bought his from a plan retailer and gave his plan to someone else down there.
          Also, I can't rely on that kind of thin slider profile. (sorry, not my thing. It just seems like with one accident by just dropping it, or doing some (chance of) upward motion underneath the screen when it's slid out, will break it.
          That and the manual lens cover for the camera is too unreliable as well, because for it being a human enabled moving part, it might be somewhat not smooth or faulty.
          Usability in devices is not a problem for me, so if I was handed a free N95, I'd keep it. It's just I REALLY prefer the K850, kthxbye

            Ok, but what I know is, all the batteries have been tested with 1-3 hours of calling per day, 15-30 minutes of websurfing and maybe around 15 pictures and 10 song tracks (I'm guessing normally around 40 minutes) and that's all it takes to get N95 down. I mean, my friend had it, and he left it for the 8600 Luna, because of it's style (the N95's for obvious reasons) but also because of it's battery time. Still 5 hours. If I'm going to be doing WAY more then that, I want more then 5 hours on it. (btw, me and him talked on our phones respectively to our loved ones, and he lost more the half of his battery within two hours of talking. I lost no bars, and still had 4-5 hours of music on my MotoRazrV6Maxx.)

            It's a good thing though for you N95 users that you guys are also up to speed. I know, a shame that there is no WiFi that you always have to connect to and pay separately for. I mean, a steady and constant connection to an equally (and included in the phone plan package here) fast and responsive network is just such a poor poor thing...

              Someone in this page is saying that n95 offers maximum speed of internet surfing at 1.8 and is slower than k850 but its wrong as both offer up to 3.6 and internet surfing is always better on a smartphone and those bothering about battery should know that american version is having better battery and nokia will do something in euorope also

                        Yes, the K-Series Phones come with Walkman software in them

                        all theyv done is taken all the Walkman Colouring off and stuff made it all Cybershot style.

                            I also answered my own question about the Music Shaker control.
                            Just searching around SE's Press Releases, there is NO Music Shaker control on the K850, but it has all the same features as the other 2 new W flagship phones such as Track ID (you can now save all information of the track that you requested) and the new media browser.

                            Though one thing remains unanswered, does the CyberShot (K) series come with the Walkman X.0 software on it?

                                    lol, I asked a question that was kind of stupid a while ago. I asked if the UI also turned when the phone turned, and it even said it right there on the page.

                                    But I'm still curious if the K850 still has Walkman 3.0 capabilities and also, Music Shaker control?

                                      WoQQ, time to get packing

                                      None of N95's gimmicks are even worth the quality of SE's phones, even their lower end phones when they can survive for many more hours then your N95 can. If the K850 can survive 9 hours of constant picture taking, MP3 playing and (I'll even include) GPS maneuvering, WHY, tell me WHY can the N95 not live as long with many of the same features?

                                      Battery life is the most important thing above all (other then ergonomic features); style, ability to take pictures or play music, special dedicated MP3 buttons, or camera flash.

                                      If the N95 can't live more then 5 hours doing those things, then it's out of my books. I don't want to be strapped to a wall two times a day having to charge the little peice of plastic. I'd rather enjoy my day, toting this marvelous piece of plastic AND glass with a camera that doesn't take up the space of 4 thumbs. Atleast I won't have to buy or use another (portable) power source.

                                      Again, who needs WiFi? I mean, you have to be connected to a single source. I don't want to be interrupted during the go. 3G is the way to go, and I hear N95's capped at 1.8Mbps. WAYYYY to slow for me, especially when my network is toting 3.5G with 3.6Mbps service. N95 would slow me down in the means of speed where I'm surfing the web, and also running around doing parkour. No need for such a big device in pocket.

                                      Enough said, K850 is versatile and if you can life without included AV wires, having to buy a GPS headset (WHICH IS HIGH QUALITY) and don't mind to trade in your WiFi for 3.5G capability, then join the wait for this wonderful phone. (That is, until SE comes out with something better. I read that rumor on the P2, hopefully it's true, and surpasses expectations.)

                                        I think its a very great phone,and please stop posting for nokia phones.You are on a S/E category here.If you like Nokia phones then go to nokia and post for his phones.
                                        I dont like these stuff seems like:Nokia had this features - S/E had this features - Nokia is better - S/E sucks....
                                        At the end,thats just phones...think about it.I dont need a phone that makes me a coffe or brings my newsletter..
