I hate to say it, but everyone is trying to compare this phone with the n95. My friend had the k800 and wasted his money on the n95 for the camera. He actually found the k800 photos were better quility then the n95. I found it odd that a 3 megapixel was better then a 5. I would not be surprised if the 850 will be even that much better. Just have to wait and see.

My hope for a cellphone as a digital camera has shattered after reading the review....I anticipate significant improvements in picture quality...in the end it's about the same as n95 camera quality...maybe we have to wait for a 7 megapixel phone as a truly digicam replacement...

after seeing the review & sample pics, all i can say is that im not really impressed with the k850i's camera, the colors are too pale & outdoor shots are not great. even k810 takes better pics, & produce more natural & yet more colorful shots, except that k850 has just more pixels.. Come on SE is this really a CYBERSHOT phone? or just a MArketting Gimmick? ;P

Too all you people complaining about the K850i not having a 16m color screen...

Now why would you want to have a 16m color screen, only to use maybe 1/4 of all those colors/shades? 16m screen = more battery usage = battery life shortened = you people complaining about a low battery life... so choose.. less battery + 16m screen or more battery + 256k screen? Would you even be able to tell the difference of color in #ffffff and #fffffe? Try even #fffffa, you would have to concentrate to pick up the color difference... and keep in mind, no one looks their cell phone from only a few inches away...

guys ...the phone isn't out yet...why are you in such a hurry to judge it ???at least wait untill the final version will be on the market ..then compare it with n95 ( i see that this is the phone chosen for comparation even that n95 is a tottally different phone).i am a SE user ..and i'm almost sure that the camera in the phone will be better than n95..but the comparation ends here ...the n95 is a multimedia phone..maybe u should compare it with the p1 ....

I read the review...Did you? obviously not or your in "sony ericsson denial syndrome" The k850 camera scored almost equal to the n95. The difference was very marginal nothing signifiacant. You guys were expecting a total blow out when comparing the two cameras, but in the end you didn't get much! Don't be mad at me...be mad at sony send them an e-mail or something!

right all this fanboy crap is getting annoying! i cant use sony, i just cant text with um! i've always had a nokia and prob always will but sony are way better! better batteries by far, u get everything in the box (data cable mainly), better cameras, FLASHES! true the n95 has some brilliant features and i dunno, the camera is prob better than the k850. but look at it! its hgue, has a rubbish battery, uses the crap symbian OS (slow and sluggish) and costs a small fortune.

as i said, i cant use sony, never can never will but they are by far the superior phone. and b4 its said, i work in a phone shop, i know wats sold and wats returned. and nokias have been nothing but problems lately. their standards are slipping big time! and any phone they release that can compete with the equiv sony is always generally huge, costs alot more, doesnt have any cables and uses the symbian garbage OS

oh azza. Who in the hell will use a camfon in prof shots? U better think guy. And read the review first. It is a review only for camfone, that is behind 15 years in imaging compared to real cameras according to the review also. I think u r 1 of those people who r fooled by the 5meg, etc. advertising of nokia. Such fraud. The world in ur hand? Duh? That cheap plastic made slider. Using it for barely half a day in moderate use? So expensive. Duh

This is the best phone I have seen till now, I am sure the production version will be the best phone. The N95 has many features(my dad's brother has one), but it has bad sliding and bad battery life and few other problems. You don't need the GPS unless you are a traveller or a guy who praises his phone. The 5MP camera is also not that revolutionary type because my N73 can also take similar quality pics. But when it comes to SE, It's a different story. The phones are fast, have longer battery, lesser bugs, K-phones have great cameras and W-phones have the best music quality. The only problem is that SE phones have a small screen. I hate people who say Nokia is the only good brand, Samsung also makes good phones(but the battery life is low), SE makes allround performers. I read a comment of a guy called Harry abut the yet to be released K850, it goes like thos- "this phone quite SUX actually......... i bought 2 of it~ now i regret alot.. i see the comment so nice~ it sucks and so do u all~ sorry to dissapointed u all.. no offens". Now please can anybody on tis earth explain how Mr.Harry got the K850(2 of them). Don't just blindly say N95. Compare all the phones and finally you will come to a conclusion [obviously SE]. Bye.

well what can I say? I saw the K850 vs. N95 camera review on mobile-review.com. In the end the cameras come out equally based on one's personal preference. The pics are different only based on colour saturation, both sharpness and quality is the same. I guess K850 is not as good a camera as expected. N95 is worth the extra price because it does so much more than just imaging. If the camera quality was that much different between the N95 and K850 then its diffenrent, but its not even that significant....so N95 all the way!!

The imaging quality in the review is S-H-I-T. Images are slightly soft and have a red tinge to them.

So far it seems to be the same module as the K800i. I hope the final version will be better.

Oh... and I do own a K810i. So I'm not a NOKIA supporter or so...
