well what can I say? I saw the K850 vs. N95 camera review on mobile-review.com. In the end the cameras come out equally based on one's personal preference. The pics are different only based on colour saturation, both sharpness and quality is the same. I guess K850 is not as good a camera as expected. N95 is worth the extra price because it does so much more than just imaging. If the camera quality was that much different between the N95 and K850 then its diffenrent, but its not even that significant....so N95 all the way!!

The imaging quality in the review is S-H-I-T. Images are slightly soft and have a red tinge to them.

So far it seems to be the same module as the K800i. I hope the final version will be better.

Oh... and I do own a K810i. So I'm not a NOKIA supporter or so...

yes its proven one more time.
number of pixel count doesnt really matter.unless manufacturers put decent quality imaging processing power and lenses in to the phones we will continue to live with this poor looking images.
come on se, do it and sell it for a few hundreds bucks more.i will take it.

Really important: Does the video have a flash feature? Because my K800i did not......

I read the review on K850i...here are some statements....
If you value truly photographic quality of snaps – look no further, this model has no alternatives. In all conscience I have to admit that the Nokia N95 over the past 6 months has become the most popular 5 Mpix equipped device, but the Sony Ericsson K850i is not only on its heels, it also surpasses it in the imaging department.
But after all, if you are looking for the best imaging department today – it all in the Sony Ericsson K850i.

For those who admire the Autorotate feature: very sorry to say, M600 has autorotate feature as well. And please note that it was 2006's portfolio!!! For all Nokia fanboys here, can you please remember the history of 'camera phone battles'? Here: K750i vs N90, K800 vs N73, and the latest K850 vs N95. Heaven knows the winners!!!!

For true simplicity of a mobile phone with HSDPA technology, I would love and highly recommend this phone, K850. And yes! There is no true comparison with this phone to N95 except only for the 5MP capability of the two cameras. N95 is just a hype. It is true that you could put so many things in N95 like office, adobe reader, etc., but does one really need this on his or her everyday needs??? Tried reading and edit documents on a mobile phone, and it really sucks, unless you are using a communicator. Remember that a mobile phone will always be a mobile phone. Ciao!

I was excited about the K850i at first, but these first pictures are NO better than what the K800i can do... except for size.

I'm hoping that the final version WILL be crisper and better colors. There is better...

First of all I'm a sonyericsson fan for so long i have bunch of collections to almost all the series that SonyEricsson have produced. It's true that Nokia does comes out ahead of SE with new models, but those Nokia specs/models usually falls behind user's expectations and mostly not a user friendly in a way. I've decided to buy K810--but i had it 2nd checked it's almost identical to K800 spec, but when i found out a newer model (K850) coming out soon which is much better than any previous model of SE. so I'm just wondering will there be a K900 or K950 that will be as thin or closer to W880? ,and the spec. much better than maybe 6mpx or higher, and use 4-5G(closer to japan's tech?) instead of 3G or HSDPA? And added new stuff like better tv tunner or better GPS navigator and baterry last longer than maybe 800h talk time?

there is no comprison between N95 and k850. N95 can do far more jobs than k850 thats y N95 is slower than the cybershot.
cybershot is specially designed for imaging and hope that it will beat N95 in that propects but i don't think that it can match N95 carl zeiss camera but no comments before testing lol!

                                        The i-mobile 902 5 Megapixel phone
                                        ======================================

I disagree with many arguments that people posted as a response to my entry. First off, the i-mobile has these features:

                                        - 5 Megapixel Sony CCD(!) sensor
                                        - interpolation of up to 8 Megapixels possible
                                        - 16 Mio. color QVGA screen (software)
                                        - XENON Flash (just like SE)
                                        - only US$270
                                        - non 3G unfortuntely

SE's MENU and firmware aren't that great. My K800i has no special features (plus bad text messaging) that I would consider superb over other firmwares. It's no better than what I had with my SHARP and by the looks the i-mobile features the same structure. The speed and responsiveness couldn't be worse than the K800i.

Apparently the sound quality and volume levels are very high (according to mobile-revew.com)so I believe the music player may well be good too.

Just because this mobile manufacturer is Thai doesn't mean that this isn't possibly one of the best cameras you have seen (look at the awesome sample shots).

And just because it isn't POPULAR doesn't mean its bad. After all, the 903SH by SHARP is still the best 3 Megapixel CCD module in my opinion, but was NEVER popular.
SAMART simply hasn't got the same resources as SE and the rest, but it is unfair to dismiss it as second class when the product speaks for itself and BEATS any current camera mobile. As I said, check it out yourself at mobile-review!

I'm not selling anything here, just stating the facts.

There are always times were the best just no longer are the best.

                                        Harlekkin
