Okay, to who moan about absent of wlan.
Its not a smartphone, so its pointless to have wlan, because the phone browser is intended to use small rendering technique which reduce data traffic.
So if any of you ask "why there is no wifi/wlan"
I can say you is posting in a Wrong page mate. ;)

well at some point AA,ur ryt..but how can you explain the other aspects such as the equipments durability and its cost.well we may say tht u do hav an ultimate fon with all the needed features but how abt the PRICE AND DURABILITY?se myt lack the wlan feature but look at the other things tht can be offered to a user out of the PRICE THT THEY'LL BE PAYING!!!

SeF, you have entirely missed the point. The K850 is no longer just a phone; it has now become a multimedia device. Why did they implement internet browsing and camcording if it was just a phone?? As a high-end multimedia device it is supposed to have high standard camcording (VGA; 30fps); not the rubbish they have put in the phone. A modern multimedia device with browsing but no WLAN is ridiculous. Furthermore when SE moved from the K800 to the K850 and increased from 3.2 to 5MP it is a clear indication that they are trying to compete with the dedicated cameras so it is fair to compare. The K850 is clearly no match and it is misleading for people to go on and on about the K850's camera when it is comparatively only average. They should not forget the brilliance of compact digicams which can be taken everywhere and produce much better photos. Afterall buyers of the K850 are obsessed with photography so why not get something decent??
i second that .... also add that this is one shiit ugly phone lolz defend it with your arses you so called se fanboys

how can you be so sure tht "tht technology of your nokia is fa rmore better than tht of se camera capabilities?!!!"have you tried comparing the pics from se fons and the pics being captured by those of the nokia fons.please dud..examine it for yourself..

The phone is an event for sure. But still lacks any answer to the quality Carl Zeiss optics from Nokia.
It lacks GPS, and last but not least WiFi. So even though I`m currently using SE W810i, it`s just a matter of some time before I switch to N95, just waiting for their depreciation. Sorry SE but will have to say bye to you soon.
Oh, ...quite forgot Nokia is the best connection receiver-transmitter! Its always been so, but they lacked some advanced technology like SE, but now they are beyond any competition.

way way great than those of nokia fons.cmon guys,take a look at the quality and the price..pretty obvious right??!!so why settle to those gadgets!!if you're looking for a high quality fon and a cheaper one,well..tht stands for the name of SONY ERICSON,got it??..

Look, the compact digicam Casio Exilim Z1000 has dimensions 92*58*22mm so it is highly portable AND it is 10MP with optical zoom. Other examples include the Panasonic Lumix TZ2 and the Pentax Optio A20. The SE K850 simply cannot compete with them and these digicams are highly portable. This is why it is better for a multimedia device to be an allrounder and not pretend to be a fantastic camera. The W960 or W990 is a much better buy. "
really? then can those Casio cameras perform messaging? internet browsing? music playing? those cameras are of even no match to the specs of cybershot W200 camera equipped with steadyshot image stabilizer, ISO 3200, 12Mpixel resolution in a smaller form factor. what would you call that? please don't compare the phone to a dedicated camera. even though this phone holds the cybershot name, this is still a phone basically disguised in a camera form.

this phone is great and i think it will have better picture quality then N95 because SE cameras r rated as high while nokia cameras are rated as average
