i'm a SE lover since i had a k700i. i want to change my moto k1 and this k850 would be perfect... but the keys suck, not made for heavy-texters :(

K850i, - a cyber shot phone, so camera is the primary feature. so do a comparison with nokia n95 camera vs k850i camera. Few changes that Sony has really made is that, We are all talking abt the Small Screen in Sony Phones, But this phone has got Very big screen, Also, sony doesn't put 3G and Edge in a single phone, but this phone has got it. Now comes to key pad, Previosus phones have bigger Buttons, put into a less compact place, they have got rid of the sticker in the K series phone now a days, and this make some much space, what they are did, made key button smaller and whole key pad space bigger, take a look at the butons, all the buttons are very neatly spacked, with large gaps between them, so no chance of miss typing ok. The keys are similar to the kesy in T650i, so dont comment abt the keypad, until a review comes, maye be you have to check it by your own, gsma arena said k810i keypad sucks, but it is quite cool and easy, very much responsive for me. What make this design unique is the phone is it 4 way button replacing a joystick, some thing different, thank god they have introduced it in a slider model.
Now comes camera, i think nokia can't match in this case at all, look at the back side, of this phone, the camera dominates the part, Xenon Flash, Autofocus, auto lens cover, promising to take the N95 camera, but a camera comparison should say that. Now what sony advanced is they have said that the video recording is QVGA (320 * 240 pixel) @ 30fms, they achieved this in W900i, while all the k series phones have Qcif recording @ 15 fms, VGA @ 30fs will be would be a exact fit for these phone, and the Phone is quite capable of too, for that.
I have to say onething eventhough i am SE fan, NOkia N95, is a different phone, You cant call it as a camera phone, Since it is not like N93i or N93, It has got immense applications running on it, but when you say camera, and user attraction and satisfaction sony has got a better advantage, Who wants to use such software in N95, all we need is a nice camera phone, with some edge, 3g and some usb support,...
Its not a fair point to compare K850i and N95 except for the camera.

why cant u come out with atleast 2.4" screen for 5 mxpl camera & 16 million colour display. why u want world to know nokia is leader in innovation & technology & u have to follow nokia when sony & erricson are world leaders in display & phone technology

This fone rocks, nokia n series sucks, beause they are too slow, its like using Pentium II computers in the Pentium IV and dual core age. ;)

Why did the score jump so quickly?
This is NOT SE's answer to the N95. It's a cheaper, slimmer, higher quality multimedia phone. It's just not a smartphone.

I agree 100% with Victor, but don't forget...unfair voting also happens to Nokia, not just SE. I don't really like to choose which one is better, whichever phone appeals to me is a good brand. And you know whats funny? Everyone is praising the K850 when noone even had the change to use it yet, N95 on the other hand is out and people's opinions are much more accurate.
and Serge Fil, doesnt matter if its a market strategy, 16Million vs. 262K....hmmm....ya, I would take 16million anyday.

I agree with some of the users, these ratings have become useless because some fanatics (I wish I could call them 'losers', but that might be impolite) are voting to lower the score on SE phones. GSMarena should monitor such activity and invalid votes that are repetitive and for instance are the same number ("1, 1, 1"). People come here to get some guidance about the usability of a phone, and if they're so heavily biased, then they're worthless.

Jasom, N95 is not the good of all phones, and neither is Nokia. They made a quite good phone, but it sucked in many many ways (believe me I've used it). The K850 is newer and is and will be much much better than the N95, just wait till it's released :D!

What with this 16M Colors Guys.. Did you know that the naked human eye is only capable of interpreting 7000 Colors.. Even 65,000 Colors is enough! It's a matter of Screen Resolution Guys.. 16M Colors?.. hehe.. It's a Marketing Strategy..

nokia fan are really coward eh, in 9 hours the score for this K850 change from 6,4-8,7-to 7,4-7,6-7,6? someone who has nothing to do in their live do this for NOkia sake?
just to let those nokia fan, N95 is a failure product! it repeats N80 history and that is a fact! Open your eyes guys.
another competition: Nokia HAS NO position in JAPAN. If N95 and K850 to make a debut in Japan, K850 will win in all its glory. N95 simply do not comply with japanese taste. Not to mention that K850 already follow the japanese trend of mobile TV--:p, oh, yea, and look at those fantastic media player on K850, it simply beats N95's media player. (I am talking about the interface, not for its capability). Browsing is truly a pleasure.

is the evolution, not a copy, all they are evolving, is like if you say 5 years ago:(example) why samsung copy of nokia, they are making color display of 4096 colors why then doesn't make a 16M color display???
