N95 also has TV-out & 3.5mm audio jack...
but, i don't think that these two are in the same category.. SE w960 is N95's match..

n95 vs k850i
1. wifi...... no wifi
2. 16mill colours....... 256000 colours
3. 160 internal mem........ 40mb internal
4. gps...... no gps
5. symbian os....... no os
6 2.6inch screen....... 2.2
7 led flash with macro....xenon flash(winner)
8. 30fps vga(winner)........qvga 15fps
n95 with led flash and macro...when pics taken at night will look as good as k850i.......maybe k850i has this gps enabler but you still got to pay for networking and with n95 its inbuilt

plz ppl compare a 256k colour screen and 16mill screen and plz tell me which one is better......and 16mill is the winner...it looks way better more denser, more contrast everything.........and the ppl who are comparing k850i xenon flash and n95 led flash.....did u all forget that n95 has macro? macro and led flash if you take a pic in the dark will be even better than k800i.....so all you gotta do is just wait till this phone comes out and see on gsmarena the comparison between 2 phones

LOL I have read a lot of comments on the k850 now and it is funny how it is turning in to a fotaball match. We all know that diffrent aspects are importent for diffrent persons so why bother be so angry that this or that phone is the best?
I have had the k800i for some time now and I am very pleased with its performance.
Things i miss from k800i is hsdpa (turbo-3g) so i can use it in stead of my brodband whith my laptop. So thats nice. The added pixels to the camera is unimportant to me 3.2 works fine wold only like less compression traces in the images. I would have liked a 8gb built in memory to bad they saved that for w960 but the 4gb cards are att 500 swedish crowns so I can live with that. The screen!, yes make it bigger and bigger! Allso here they have saved the big screen for the w960, to bad.
All and all its mostly the hsdpa that attracts me to this new k850 if w960 had hsdpa I wold take that one instead.
Finaly I must say that the future is looking wery bright, the phones are advancing incredibly fast and i cant wait for every new year and its new phones.
And a vision, what will happen to computer manufactures and brodband providers and camera manufacures and mpr player manufacurs and PDA manufacurs and so on, when the mobile phone is a supercomputer with super music and super camera and video and a highspeed internet connection and a wireless dockingstation to keyboard and bigscreen tv when you get home? Could the mobile phone become the single most important and valuble possesion in peoples lifes in the furure, say 5-15 years? And what happens when you the drop that super mobile in the beer? :-)

There is no doubt the sek850 will be brilliant, its just not actually offering anything massivly new. and does lack features that the n95 has, scuh as wifi.
i wish the fan boys would try and look at this phone without any bias.
i have an n95 and ive had no issues, although there is no question that sony software is more reliable, i think it will be great but on paper right now, the n95 is better. time will tell, but either way its certainly not a massive jump in terms of technology.

Sony Ericsson releasing the K850 soon but just round the corner soon Nokia will be releasing the N82 or the N98 both these models have the xenon flash on them an will be more easier to use than the K850 an with better software on there mobile Sony Ericsson will have to produce more better phones to outshow Nokia,there cameras are on about equal par now,but the buttons Sony ericssons putting on its mobiles are making there mobiles hard for texting an calling because there too small an people get annoyed with them,lets see soon if Samsung will join the 5 mega-pixel gang an see who comes out top,the N95 i think shows the K850 should have been designed more modern to attract more people to buyit,the only thing i am glad about is know stupid joystick from Sony Ericsson

K series are suppose to be classy or stylish phones. This design sucks.. looks cheap! k800 still the best looking one. I'm disappointed!

i bet the guys at Nokia are eyeing on this phone. Wait till they copy the Auto Lens Cover of Sony Ericsson and it will surely appear on their future handsets!
They are such a copy cat... losers!
Remember when SE introduced the Dual-faced handset T610. Now almost all Nokia phones are evolved to be like that. Then came the lens cover and Nokia put it in their N-Series garbage. The Auto Lens cover will make Nokia envy and will design a similar picture. Poor Nokia! LOL

There are 2 mistakes in the specifications
There is no Infrared connectivity anymore
There is no HSCSD Technolgy also

knowing what the nokia fanboys are doing, surely they fell threatened hugely by SE. They try to put this phone down before people praise it. Do you know what's that mean? this will surely be the next king. Bye N95, you are history by now and no one will ever remember N95 anymore, if they do, they will remember because of the bad quality for sliders and mediocrity for all of the features N95 has.
K850 will be the next legend continuing the history of the legendary T610-K700-K750-K800.

i'm a SE lover since i had a k700i. i want to change my moto k1 and this k850 would be perfect... but the keys suck, not made for heavy-texters :(

K850i, - a cyber shot phone, so camera is the primary feature. so do a comparison with nokia n95 camera vs k850i camera. Few changes that Sony has really made is that, We are all talking abt the Small Screen in Sony Phones, But this phone has got Very big screen, Also, sony doesn't put 3G and Edge in a single phone, but this phone has got it. Now comes to key pad, Previosus phones have bigger Buttons, put into a less compact place, they have got rid of the sticker in the K series phone now a days, and this make some much space, what they are did, made key button smaller and whole key pad space bigger, take a look at the butons, all the buttons are very neatly spacked, with large gaps between them, so no chance of miss typing ok. The keys are similar to the kesy in T650i, so dont comment abt the keypad, until a review comes, maye be you have to check it by your own, gsma arena said k810i keypad sucks, but it is quite cool and easy, very much responsive for me. What make this design unique is the phone is it 4 way button replacing a joystick, some thing different, thank god they have introduced it in a slider model.
Now comes camera, i think nokia can't match in this case at all, look at the back side, of this phone, the camera dominates the part, Xenon Flash, Autofocus, auto lens cover, promising to take the N95 camera, but a camera comparison should say that. Now what sony advanced is they have said that the video recording is QVGA (320 * 240 pixel) @ 30fms, they achieved this in W900i, while all the k series phones have Qcif recording @ 15 fms, VGA @ 30fs will be would be a exact fit for these phone, and the Phone is quite capable of too, for that.
I have to say onething eventhough i am SE fan, NOkia N95, is a different phone, You cant call it as a camera phone, Since it is not like N93i or N93, It has got immense applications running on it, but when you say camera, and user attraction and satisfaction sony has got a better advantage, Who wants to use such software in N95, all we need is a nice camera phone, with some edge, 3g and some usb support,...
Its not a fair point to compare K850i and N95 except for the camera.
