arjun, 13 Mar 2009err... not to sound rude but... "one of the problems"? what... more1. It restarted atleast 2-3 times a day
2. It did slow down and lag
3. Its switched off by itself
All that was even with the latest firmware R1FA035, So i just re-installed the firmware again and Sold it.....No Regrets

RE-install firmware.
reinstall camera driver.
change camera driver.
make sure your finger isn't covering the tiny sensor below the flash.
lastly get it checked by an SE service centre.

got my phone back. keypad replaced. paid a lot. working swell. love it. funny thing happened when i was at the SE shop. another guy had brought over his k850. was happy to see another set, sad to see it has issues too.

Mrigank Pawar, 13 Mar 2009My only suggestion wud b 2 upgrade ur firmware to R1FA035. ... moreThe preinstalled software was R1FA035.
I changed it to R1CA037 but it didn't effect.
Only thing i don't know is if the reason is software or the flash itself.

I want to buy this phone , ... moreThe music player is gr8! It has megabass and the spkr output is decent. N yeah, u can use ur HPM70. Da music player also has Megabass wich gives u a gr8 effect if u use HPM70 or HPM82.

Plz back up ur contact and text msgs b4 upgrading. I had stored all my txt msgs on my memory card. I removed the memory card frm da fone whyl upgrading, thinkin dat I wud still hav da msgs. But, surprisingly, all my msgs were gone!

I have a problem with my k850, it switches off au... moreI had this problem with mine, To solve it just re-install the firmware (R1FA035) Download SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service) on your PC and connect your phone and re-install the firmware. But make sure you back up your data.
I know that problem is annoying. Thats one of the reasons why i sold my K850

Hi friends.
I'm using this phone for a week. But there is a problem whit the xenon flash. It sometimes flashes, but sometimes not!
When i put it in red eye reduction, it sometimes flash one time. Sometimes 2 times. And sometimes it doesn't flash at all.
Any reason?
I did a master reset. But it didn't effect.

the k850i is a good all round phone with a very good camera and full of stuff to keep you happy for a long time. the only down point on it for me as a user myself was the small key pad buttons and the touch screen can be tricky at times. other wise a good choice.

How are u to all SE k850 fans?
I want to buy this phone , but i still wonder about the built in speaker ? Is that same with SE w series loudspeaker for MP3 player ? Is the mp3 player is great ? Because i want to use my HMP70 in k850 later. If someone want to sell this k850i sell it to me in sby city.

worse phone ever!! camera rubbish! the k800 was miles better cant wait to get rid of it!! and i normally love sony erricsons! every1 iv spoken too even at the networks have said this phone has had alot of complaints! had it for 15months and been into repair 4 times!!! do not get it!!!

the k850i wow what a phone. or it would be if it worked for longer than 3 months without the blue light of death twice in 6 months.
good phone. year right pull the other one its got bells on.
