so I want to ask u, what flashtool did you use to flash this kernel? can u also give me the site to download it?

before you flash any custom rom(like jelly vanilla) you need to install supported kernel(which is mediator between software and hardware) to install kernel you should have flashtool in your system, and then download the supported kernel for required rom and flash it via flashtool(flashtool available from sony just google it)
please do research on rooting before you starting experimenting on you mobile(it took me almost 7-8 months to understand)
if you have flashtool follow as below:
before doing so copy custom rom zip file to sd card and supported zip files(like gapps) to flash it later
1. connect mobile in fast boot mode
2. download the kernel suggested by karting sing to me just few old post below
3. flash the kernel downloaded via flashtool(this kernel has CWM)
4. disconnect the phone and restart in recovery mod(by pressing volume down button)
5. after all above step you have to factory reset/wipe catche {read full isntruction from xda} and then flash the custom rom zip file from sd card which you have already pasted

Hi guys, I already download all the things I need to install jelly vanilla rom, I look the instruction how to install it and I notice I have to flash cm 10 kernel, my question is how to flash it??? do I have to install via flashtool via cwm or what??? I'm confused....
Also the instruction say after flash cm 10 go to cwm recovery then wipe data/factory reset, after that flash jelly vanilla rom part 1 and 2, again my question is how to flash it via cwm??? I'm so confused... plz help me
I'm really sorry if you guys feel my question is too many...

I have flashed jellyvanilla 5.3 with gapps, however there is problem with gapps initial set up wizard was forse closing and it was stuck there not able to operate my mobile(something related to gapps i guess) hence i again flashed 5.3 without gapps. Now everything working fine i guess except i am not able to open playstore its force closing. Please give me advise what to do. pls pls

ya you have to flash the google apps for jb.

there is a bug in home launcher also which is fixed now.so flash the
attachment file form this xda link:-

and the bug is if u move an app to sd card;it will not shown to you.so
flash the home launcher also.
i know the updated version jellyvanilla also not works for me.

Is there any major bugs? or is it stable version?
I am currently using Jellyvanilla 1.1 based on 4.1(source: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Software-Updates/Jelly-bean-for-Xperia-2011-Live-With-Walkman-JellyVanilla/td-p/269229)
Do I need to flash kernel again to install this latest rom? if yes kindly provide me with working link(i tried in xda it's not working for me.

Use the first official method of unlocking bootloader given in the site .Dont unlock by the testpoint method and SE Bootloader Unlocking Tool by quangnhut123 as they are not reliable enough.

If I don't uninstall cwm, I can't charge my phone via offline mode...
(I install cwm via Se tweak xtreme) so how to UNINSTALL it????
