The xperia play has teh same chipset so it will b... moreThe lcd has lines going across the screen all the way down and the left handside of the screen has a thick black line that cuts off some of the screen. It was damaged when the digitizer was replaced. Nobody in UK will do the repair for me as they say they can't get the part. They all avoid it like the plague even though I've seen the lcd on eBay. Some are saying that they can't guarantee the lcd is genuine Sony and because I got the original repair done in a Mobile repair shop it has voided the warranty. Do I need a new digitizer as well as LCD and would it be worth me having an attempt at fixing it or is it too difficult? The screen wasn't stuck down properly either and for some reason keeps lifting out of the housing near the capacitive/home buttons at the bottom.

Also my friend has a play and it is lagging in asphalt 7 heat and dead trigger !My live was much better in games processing! (The play is also somewhat slow due to its screen!) Keep you live now it is the best phone till now! No one can make a phone like live! what is your problem with it?! ( Xperia U is bad due to a lot of lags and bad memory!)

Im thinking about getting xperia play as in UK it's only £130 now while live is £145. My live is not a healthy droid because the lcd is on its way out. Is there much of a performance difference between the two? I know they both have same chipset and both have stereo speakers so im thinking this is a great bargain as play has better screen. Im sick of ics so I'd be quite happy with good old reliable gingerbread again. Is it worth going for jean? Would consider xperia u but it's too narrow and not enough memory for all my games. Plus I've heard it has volume problems and I've filled my 8gb sd card up on my live so memory is an issue.
