AnonD-29712, 24 Apr 2012I agree with you, i already posted this problem months ago,... morehow to update build version? my phone is showing updates available for build version 4.0.58 to 4.0.62 , for that pc companion is required. I have connected to pc whih is having Airtel broad band connection and then it asked to instal sony ericsson pc companion. i installed.
but softeware update is not happening, when i gave "update" it shows "there s no internet connection if u are using proxy change the settings" message came . then i checked pc internet connetion, it was working good. i have tried so many times. but I couldn't update to 4.0.62.
how to update?

hey guys... can somebody tell me if there are any bad effect to the LiveWW after i update mine from 4.0.2.a.0.58 into 4.0.2.a.0.62? please reply... thanks

Nice phone indeed but when it comes to battery life it doesn't last that long, that's the frustrating part of this phone.

Poor screen contrast and viewing angles
No smart dialing
No DivX/XviD video support out of the box
Non hot-swappable memory card
No custom equalizer setting
No video calls support
Please implement this features in next version of android for this one.. released on October 2011 with Android 2.3.4, still not get upgrades of next version. very poor of you guys.. There is no shortcuts of recent used apps on the notification screen like Samsung & htc. Also please try to provide this option.. Rather than this the handset is quite awesome...

Anonymous, 23 Apr 2012only thing is we alarm is not working when phone is switch offI agree with you, i already posted this problem months ago, about the alarm that's not working when you turned off your phone, i think it is a gingerbread os bug, as my old X8 using eclair 2.1 was alarming even if you turn your phone off, but gingerbread i don't know if froyo will not alarm if your phone was off,, minor issues though..

Galaxy y should be called galaxy 'why' as its an awful phone. Theres no adobe flash support on it while live has full flash support. Galaxy has rubbish processor while live has 1ghz. Live has far better screen, stereo speakers etc. You can't compare the galaxy to live as live is far superior. Live does cost a little more but you can't get another phone as good as live for the price. Dont waste your money on a poor phone like galaxy y as it's an insult to Samsung's better phones.

hay people i was thinking about buying this phone but i heard that sony ericcson phone gets overheated after using a while and shuts down atomaticly and freez.
is there anybody who used this mobile for more then some time and didn't saw any problem which was in previous phone.
and will it be better then samsung galaxy y
