I bought the phone, I was thinking of buying either M600 or P990, but I didn't need a camera and the the keyboard is good enough.
The cons:
Some games require you to hold alt (to activate numbers).
Some videos don't work, while others might be choppy.
But since I bought the phone recently there might be ways to overcome these problems.
The pros:
I'd have to write a lot down, but I'll say the most impressive things.
It has a Picture editor!!! Crop, resize, color! So almost all pics can be perfect wallpapers!
The possibilities are countless, the file manager is awesome. And the phone is highly customizable (even though I am not a business man).
Like my friend said "its not a phone its a computer"

I am questioning the durability of the touch screen monitor, since I usually carry the cell phone on my pocket. Is there any other user ever broke the screen NOT because of some accident? Thanks

I have a problem with my phone after the new firmware update. It gives a message that gprs is unavailable. so i can't connect to the net. I there a way to solve this? Does it mean the gprs hardware is defective?

i really feel like getting this phone, but i am having some doubts about it, so i hops you guys out there can help me answer the doubts. Is this phone able to surf the net? and if it's able to, how does it surf the net? using GPRS? or something else?

I sell my symbyan OS base phone and bought a PPC base one.. walla.. it's works very well

Of course if you are looking for a phone with nice music quality, both have great music quality but for me the w950 has a better music quality, now,regarding the performance of the phones, m600 does pretty well, no hangs nor bugs, it won't crash, nice phone overall, only lacks the camera but no problem for me as well, the QWERTY keyboard as well is nice and you can type faster using that. overall both phones are great so no regrets in getting them, choose any, both phones are great!

Hey Guys. How You Doing ? Well , This Phone Is Kinda Cool. Well , Would You Guys Choose M600i Or W950 ?? Im Confused Which Phone To Get. I Don't Need A Camera. I Need A Good Sound Quality Player (eg. Listening To Musics Using The Headset ), When I'm Typing A Long Sms / Text It Doesn't Lags / Hang , The Phone Doesn't Hangs / Lag When Your Switching Programs Or In Inbox . Both Have Mostly The Same Functions. Which One Would You Guys Choose , W950 Or M600i ?? Do Let Me Knw Which One Is Betta .

does any1 no how to turn off notification tones (sound when u close cnvrstion, etc)?

By the way any games that can be runned on the M600i? i downloaded some java games but they require the number pad... i end up having to hold the alt key and press the buttons to play the game >

A follow up regarding the SE official P990 and W950 firmware update termination:
SE decided to continue the firmware development for P990 and W950 phone with the promise of one more firmware update.
Here's the official response:
In response to recent feedback from users and as a result of additional internal testing, Sony Ericsson has determined to offer a further firmware update for the P990 and W950 Walkman® phone. This move illustrates Sony Ericsson’s ongoing commitment to its existing ‘smartphone’ customers and the company’s desire to be responsive to customer feedback in order to provide an optimal user experience.
The next firmware release for the P990 and W950 will be available from the Sony Ericsson Update Service from August 2007.
--> Sad thing was that M600 is not included for the benifit of once more update :(

open control pannel, Time & Date, Click more, set Work days, here u can change the week starting day.

The calendar function on this phone has various views: daily, weekly, and monthly. I prefer the monthly view, I havent had a problem with it yet, but wonder if there is a way to change the view of the calendar settings. It seems it defaults with Monday being the first day of the week (it shows mon tue wed thur fri sat sun). I am used to seeing Sunday first (sun mon tue wed thur fri sat) is there any way to make this change?
