Sony Ericsson Media Viewer MMV-100

10 March, 2004
Sony Ericsson unveiled its latest revolutionary technology called Media Viewer MMV-100 developed to expand the ways Bluetooth is used. It plugs directly into TV or digital projector and enables images to be viewed on a large screen as well as AMR or MP3 audio files to be listened to through the television's speakers. Owing to the MMV-100's innovative features files can be transferred via Bluetooth wireless technology not only from a single phone to a Bluetooth device but also from many phones to one receiving set.

From the Media Viewer benefit both entertainment fans and business professionals. Users can have fun sharing images with families and friends or use it as a business accessory for slide shows and presentations. Information can be stored beforehand on a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and shown afterwards on a bigger screen in a meeting or conference room. Its user-friendly concept allows images and audio to be transferred by a simple touch of the phone keypad.

The MMV-100 supports the following Bluetooth™ profiles: File Transfer Profile (FTP), Object Push Profile (OPP), and Basic Imaging Profile (BIP). The MMV-100 connects to a TV or projector through the SCART or via stereo audio/video RCA cable and there will be variants for both PAL and NTSC formats. The size of the device is 57 x 78 x 15 mm and it weights just 55 g. It will be available in Q2 2004.
