Dusty, 04 Oct 2008Always battery problem.....it only work for 1,5h to 2h talk time.Dusty, your battery might be on its last legs. I usually get 12+ hours on heavy usage (WiFi, calls, music, videos, document editing) and a day and a half on moderate usage (calls, music, FM)

you really have to know what P1i is capable of to appreciate it. for some, they take P1i features out of the box as it is, not realizing that you can mod it to your hearts content.
latest mod available:
sound mod - increase the sound volume without distortion (compatible, if not ideal for walkman 3 mod)
camera mod - improved the camera quality, zoom, and the burst
video mod - you can now record video at 320x240 resolution, mp4 format at 27+ frames per second

you really can write a book on P1i if you want.
You should try the new quick office or the DocumentstoGo v4.001(751) for microsoft office documents, it can open microsoft 2007 office docs with no size limitations (the biggest size I have with me is 3.2MB, it is a civil code reviewer)
for ebooks and pdf files, install the PDF+ v1.75, it displays the pdf files per page, no more lag or loading time

bay_nowie, 01 Oct 2008its a great fon had it 4 a month no problems yet so far but... more@bay_nowie: There is an add-on hack available for the P1i that allows users to play swf (flash files) from the web (via Opera) or the phone memory. It doesn't support flv files yet, but I suppose that won't be the case for long.
Here is my list of "must have" apps and add-ons for the P1i:
1. GDesk
2. Swiss Manager Pro v1.7
3. Documents To Go v4
4. Exchange ActiveSync & BB Client (free d/load from the SE web site)
5. Agile Messenger and Fring
6. Games: SkyForce, K-Rally, FIFA 2007, Asphalt 3HD & 4 (the rest aren't that great). Download ScummVM if you want a lot more.
7. Advanced Call Manager
8. Add-ons/hacks: G900 Notes app, G900 Torch app, Walkman v3 + mood/visualization skins (from W960) & Vista/OSX/iPhone/Ubuntu theme+icon pack

Anonymous u told to Anakin u can write the Book that’s wrong I m using P-Series since from P800 u can check the date in Posts of P800 also in P910i
U cant open the file size more then 367kb it takes too much time to open it and if u have more files with this size in ur Phone and have received with Beam u cant see in Messages then u have restart the Device that’s also reported Bugs in P1i and when I contact with SE via email they told they have stopped to working on more firmware for P1 no one device is Perfect in the World
And
I also have Nokia E71 its Office is More Advance like Windows Mobiles
What is the Difference in all P-Series compare to P1 and previous all P_Series u can search the Opinion with the name SHaKeeL or Faryal_SHaKeeL u can Read if u don’t Mind

I've used the P1i for over 1 year now. I found the phone an excellent phone in the sense that it has almost all functions that one could think off. Some points I'd like to mention.
1. P1i has a jog dial. Mine got jumbled up.
I moved it up and the cursor went down
vice versa. But some how it is all right
now. Thats a surprise.
2. I was used to the W800 phone. It had an
excellent feature of call recording. This
doesn't have it. so hands down here.
3. Wifi works fine. But its a little slow.
4. Can't comment on video calling as we
don't have this facility here. Same goes
for other high end internet like 3 G.
5. Phone calls are really clear.
6. There is no flash separately. but the one
available has a really strong light. Still
to use it one has to hold the camera
button half pressed.
7. Camera features are good. Keeping in mind
that this is a phone camera. Its not as
a real digital camera is. So its not
comparable to the cybershot version of SE.
8. Music player is good.
9. Playing games on P1i is a so so
experience. I couldn't find many games
compatible with this model. Most were for
P990. Some did work but others I found
difficult to navigate. So dropped the idea
about games.
10.I found some excellent softwares which I
use every day. Those make me love my P1i.
11.I tried using the PDF viewer. Its slow
and if it has pictures then forget it. It
takes ages to open. So only tried it for
a few times then dropped the idea.
12.Word and excell are good. I used them. I
also edited my documents. All can be done
with ease.
13.About the QWERTY keypad, well in the start
I had some trouble. But then I got the
hang of it. and now I can type very
swiftly and easily. I love this feature as
it is supported by the T9 feature.
14.Don't ask about battery. Its a so so thing
as in all SE phones.
15.Its durable. The best thing. My 2 yr old
daughter swooped it up like a ball and
forgot to catch it. It dropped like a
stone with a noise. My heart beat was up.
When I checked it it was amazingly working
fine without a hitch. No scratches on it
either after 1 year of use.
16.It sometimes gets slow and may need a
restart. But don't all phones hang at
times?
17.It has a beautiful velvety touch on the
back. I proudly say that it has remained
that way for 1 year. After cleaning it
becomes the same when I bought it.
18.I don't know about others but mine didn't
come with a GPS.
So in the end I'd say that this is one good phone SE came up with. Can't say about other models but a few things that they missed from previous models. Well all I can say is that in the beginning one feels their absence but in the end the phone is so good that we don't miss those features anymore.

- your battery is faulty
- you didnt follow the charging instructions on first use correctly and have damaged the battery (4hrs charge+30mins break+4hr charge
- your screen is left on without energy saving settings set up
-you could be having several processes running in the background
-ur p1i is faulty
