hi
m using my p1 for abt 5 months now from the first day the picture quality of the is not so good as compare to the p990 or nokia n73i found it terrible

hi, i'm looking for a 'smartphone' which does it all. i'm just looking around but could anyone tell me if this phone actually does "do it all". if not, any suggestions for a phone that does?

It will make u hard to find P1 with 14K cost using CC. For how many outlet i tried to canvas this unit and like you, i also want to pay it in charge. BNew cost almost 16.5K for cash, pwede daw card and no cash out needed BUT with 7% add'l interest charges. And if u want to pay it stagger, u have to request it directly 2 ur CC comp and as I'v check, they can make it in installment basis BUT of course another charges with diff mode-either 3/6/9/12 inst. As i computed more than 20K na magiging cost... grabe parang bumili na ako ng unit sa well known store.
Just yesterday, i bought my P1i with 18K+ cost @ Greenbelt 12months to pay with 0% interest, atleast khit papaano may assurance na ako na brandnew ung fone & may 1yr warranty rin.

I just bought the only available screen protector h... morethere's a screen protector made especially for p1i. there's no more need for trimming. it's washable because it can be washed. remove the protector, wash it, wipe it, and return it back.

I just bought the only available screen protector here. but the size is generic so i have to trim it (grrrrr!) Got to find something specificaly for the p1i.

just say that you wanted to buy a washable LCD protector for your P1i. buy the one that costs 150.
i don't know why people are complaining on its keypad. i really like it. and it's unique. it's also easier to use only that it takes time for one to master it. if you don't like the keypad then simply buy the w960.

Thanks Anonymous,I wonder whether my phone has a problem. When I compare photos taken from P1i and N73 there is a huge difference. Apart from this problem, I love the P1i. Is there any way I can send you the photos to compare?

Kapila, 11 Jun 2008I am using this phone for about a month now and I was using... morecoming from N73, regarding your camera complaints on P1i, you might find the P1i camera pictures terrible because you are used to the noise reduction on N73. But the same Noise reduction on N73 would give the pictures a water-color like look and tend to loose the details.
P1i is not really intended to compete with camera phones. But even if P1i might not be a "camera phone" per se, the camera quality is not that bad at all. Try using a noise reduction software on PC(some are free) and you will find out that it has, more or less the same, quality of pictures taken on camera phones.
here's a before and after demonstration.
i remove the noise maybe too much just for demonstration.

Sorry w9Lv but u r really wrong..how can u compare n73 with P1 ...P1 not doubt superior than 73 ... only if u have a problem on your phone.

I am using this phone for about a month now and I was using a Nokia n73ME earlier. Comparing the picture quality, I find p1i is terrible. All the proper settings are made to optimum and still my phone gives very bad quality pics. Can somebody help????

I have my P1i for some time now, I think all you who are saying that the keypad is hard to use are just plain stupid. mayb you can't read or something. It is called a rocker or a butterfly style, so the keys have multiple functions. I do not have small fingers and I use my keypad just fine. I mean no hassle at all. I found it somewhat strange that people actually said they had a problem with the keypad. I used to think that (on a phone) t9 was the fastest way to text, not anymore. I write my messages mayb three times faster with my P1i and its qwerty keypad.

under score in under "@" button beside "ok or enter" button.
press many time the symbol will change to under score. u can see from the right top of the screen.
hope this can help who are confused with the under score button.
