i bought it it had problem in making and receiving calls and recognizing the network. if you are going to buy it buy with a good guarantee. i had to renew the software the first day i bought it. i think there are two types of it inthe market i dont know which one is better.

SE did great on the features & performance of p1, bt not the design. Nxt p-series try to giv big screen like the p910 & design lik p910 & include in the gps & Tv. How bout sw,s too in radio part of it. We could have best fon.

Hey, i got the phone and love it. Just want to know, is there a way to make the back light shut off when it is charging? It is a little annoying that it is staying on the whole time it charges, im worried it will kill it soon....

can any1 tell me when the new firmware(r9k0009) will be available in south africa, i downloaded the sony ericsson update service a while back, and updated my w800 but it says my p1i already has the latest software.

I need to know if the music sound quality is the same as w960???? im considering between these two phones... can someone pls help me to sort it out which one is a better phone? price is not a problem.. thanks!
One more thing, is SE planning to come up with another colour for this model?? cuz silver is kinda boring

Hi,
Anybody knows if there is any software that supports navigation in P1 without being connected on the internet? Wayfinder requires continous internet connection.

My opinion is about some features I think the phone should have in addition, such as predictive text input,push to talk and or conference calls, EDGE, photo&video editor, MPEG4player,GPS,TV.In terms of colors, instead of silver black there should be BLACK ONES as well.Thanks

the mp3 sound quality is superb, just like other SE phones. And it has Megabass too.
There's a pdf reader pre-installed in the phone. Though I had never use before, i think it supports pdf files

p1 WLAN is damn lousy....my frens Nokia N 82 phone WLAN works 100% better than mine...n is always written there'connection fail' when i try to connect..stupid..i jus bought it for 4 days..
