am not from any camp.. my only frustration with P1 is their keypads. its kinda small and too close to each other considering that typing the letters is side to side.. although i like the increase in memory, the speed and the camera..

          TO Satya;
3G comes in various relases, and from each relase to the one after it among things that change are the speed rates on the downlink and the uplink.
Now HSDPA stands for high speed download packet access. the speed on the downlink in hsdpa will vary between 1Mbps to 3.6 Mbps.
So to resume, a phone that is 3G but not hsdpa will have a download speed of up to .36Mbps whereas with HSDPA u can have up to 3.6Mbps.
You r now asking urself if there is a difference. Well the answer depends on your operator, and the licenses he bought from equipement providers such as Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel Lucent (which bought Nortel Networks). Basiclly, for normal internet browsing on ur phone, No HSDPA will be required. But as i said depends on ur operator and services he is offering or will offer any time soon.
Services u may want to ask for are:
          -HSDPA
          -video calls
          -EUL(enhanced uplink).
Hope it is a little bit more clear now.

            Hello World !

thats what i can say after 3 days of using this great phone , i have used everything in this device and have installed more than 55 Mb of programs ( Dictionary , IM and Browser , games . . . ) and its just great. i'v joined this device with my Descktop Computer over Wireless lan and the speed is perfect. i went to the shop to buy a Nokia N95 and came out while Holding this Baby. trust me , it might be a bit lower in Some aspects ( CPU Speed , GPS , Camera . . . ) but has some sprit and style that can never be compared with N95 .

Hello Truth. First of all I don't belong to any "camp" :) Currently I'am following Nokia N95, E90 & SE P1 topics because I am looking for a new phone and didn't decided yet. YES, jbenchmark is checking graphics but not only, also CPU which is VERY important for overall performance of the phone. And here both N95 & E90 are much better too. By the way if you're P1 user can you tell me how P1 is performing in landscape mode in terms of navigation? Is it stylus only ? Can you use keyboard in landscape? Is the screen much bigger in landscape mode if its about office files and web browsing ? How about keybord is it ok? What I like in nokia E90 is that when you need to use a phone to make a call its easy just like in any other non-OS phone. If you need to browse an internet or work in office you've a nice & wide screen! Right now I need to decide between E90 (good features, hardware & OS but killer price) or P1 (nice design, very stable phone, hardware not so good as E90 but much better price). N95 is out of question because of its battery life and stupid navigation in landscape mode (typing text in web browser). Also I'am thinking about W960.

I read that the phone has a rss reader. Now it came to my mind to use it like an electronic-newspaper.
Does the phone save the whole news on memory while it is connected to the internet? and are the news readable while I am offline?

Hello Kage the test you are talking about only looks at the graphics part of the mobile. The mobile is som much more than that. Camera, music player, document editor and much more. Allso the test doesnt talk about battery life. Since it is obious that you belong to the N95 camp by the way you spin it. So the anwser is yes N95 is a fat battery hungry media phone that perform better in graphics AND SE P1 is a buissnies phone that is more of a productivity booster. SMART PEOPLE USE IT.

I'am following this topic on SE P1 for some time and this phone looks realy nice. But there is one thing that troubles me. If you go to glbenchmark (http://www.glbenchmark.com/result.jsp) site and compare this phone to N95 or N90, P1 looks VERY WEAK in overall score. It's like N95=413 points, E90=386 and ONLY 143 points for P1! Those tests look rather detailed (cpu, 2D,3D graphic), so is the difference realy that BIG?

The front Camera is not for taking pictures its for 3G video calls. It is used to show your caller your picture.

                                    Cheers

To: Steve - you cannot use the front camera to use for photography. The camera is dedicated only for 3G (video calling). If you want a self-portrait, you need to use the main camera at the back.
