Go for P1i if it's available in India.

The only problem that I can see with not working keys is DUST! try to clean your phone from the inside (if of course this validates your warranty - then don't!) Buy screw driver and just clean all the dust under your keyboard. Hope this helps

many ppl telling its OS(UIQ 3.0) is dead.its true but no need to worry bcoz all the application is already made and keep on developing.wen you look for a nice smart phone then close your eyes and go for it. :)

frens its a gr8 phone i had ever seen.simply awesome!!! especially its 128mb ram,qwerty looks nice.wen you keep the phone in your hand u feel the truth.camera is really superb its even better than nokias 5mp shooter.wen you look for camera picture quality go for it bcoz S.E uses sony's visual shooter software.sound is nice with walkman version,large display.its suitable for college students lot being a p1i user for 2 yrs overall its gr8. . :)

Been using P1i for 2yrs, really a great phone. My main problem is I don't know which phone to replace this one with...Please SE, make another smartphone like P1i with the same fantastic keyboard and touchscreen!

P1i is a nice piece of business phone. I have been using this phone for last 2years and this is my experience
Pros:
1. Very Stable OS: UIQ 3.0. It doesn't restart or hang like S60 phones
2. QWERTY and handwriting recognition
3. Touch Screen 2.6inch display
4. Inbuilt Push Mail
5. Unlimited Call records
6. Unlimited Contacts
7. Document viewer and editor
8. Decent sound quality
9. Battery life
Cons: Not many
1. Doesn't support VOIP over GPRS mode
2. No EDGE
3. Wi-Fi is basic but not bad
4. Alarm doesn't work in switched off condition unlike Nokia

P1i supports both .sis and .sisx files. but .sisx files can't be installed through PC suite. Best way is to transfer file to memory card and install it directly on phone.

I would suggest you to go for P1i as I'm using this model for last 2years and doesn't have any issues. I had an opportunity to compare W960i and P1i is real winner in all parameters such as touch screen response to fingers and stylus, text input methods (P1 with QWERTY). Otherwise W960i and P1i comes with same processor and same UIQ3 OS and hence there is no change in performance except walkman player and sound.
decide what u want whether walkman player or business phone.

RICHARD, 20 Jun 2009hi everybody! would all of u tel me which device is better ... moreP1i touch screen is more responsive to fingers than w960i. w960i touch screen doesnt respond to stylus sometimes unless u press hard. Regarding java application performance, both works well as both the phones have same size of RAM and ROM and also the processor is same.
I would suggest you to go for P1i if u r a heavy sms and email sender.
