hi.i am a student,but i need a phone wihch would last me till the time i graduate(viz in about 3-4 yrs!!!)ive always been fascinated by qwerty keypads and high resolution cameras.
1)do you think the p1 is the best buy?
2)if not, which other phone do you think is appropriate?
also, i would love it if it were a value-for-money phone

my phone is about 9 months now. it begins to slowly responds. is this due to its built-in memory? only 2Mb was left.

Frankie, 25 Feb 2009P1 doesnt have GPS, even thought stated in the manual. Can ... moreagreed..but we can install GPS software in p1i and pair with any GPS receiver to detect the satellite in the space..:) I've read in forums about this but i still haven't try yet in my phone..

P1 doesnt have GPS, even thought stated in the manual. Can make GPS by GPRS triangulation but has no A-GPS cappabilities.

Was using my P1i perfectly for 3 months until today,
The screen has somehow got nudged in a corner and the plastic is slightly bent in that place. So screen is permanently clicked
Gosh i cant do anything with the phone now. Screen is won't click any other place. Can't even calibrate. I'm gonna get rid of my p1i as soon as i can!!!

Kath, 18 Feb 2009Halo, helmi...kath here...bt i bought the fon exactly oledi... moreif you have not figured it out yet go to the SETTINGS option in the Blacberry screen and then highlight the AUTOSTART option. This is a dropdown with ENABLE and DISABLE options. Select DISABLE, switch off your phone and when you repower all will be good. Did this with mine last nite and it is fine.

I tried to charge my P1 this morning but i... moretry to take out the battery..hold on for 5minutes or more..and then attach back the battery into the phone..then you try to charge the phone..if still got problem, maybe there's something wrong with the battery..you can consult with your phone warranty company to solve it..:) cheer up..

Hi, I need help. I tried to charge my P1 this morning but instead of charging it drained the battery. I tried it again, the light at the connector turned red and the keypads started blinking. there is nothing in the screen. I cant turn the phone on again. Can anyone tell me whats wrong with my P1 and offer suggestions on how it can be fixed? Thanks
