Hmm...Did u try master resetting the phone??
To get the OS upgraded u need to use the firmware upgrade tool in the SE PC suite. Alternatively if u go to the SE site they will ask u to download & install PC suite first so its the same procedure

i modded my phone yesterday for walkman 3 and sound ... moreMate those files you replaced are in the ROM (Z:) drive - same location. C'mon isn't that where you copied the original AAT folder & files in the first place!!
A master reset will do the job but don't go that far! Just do as above.
Walkman player mod doesn't replace any files to my knowledge...so just locate the files and delete them
Finally,, don't worry, ur phone will not be skrwed coz these mods are tested by hundreds of UIQ3 users. The only affect u will see is IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY :)

hi,
i modded my phone yesterday for walkman 3 and sound mod. i forget to backup my original files and overwritten them by the new ones (mod). i am not sure if this is gonna affect my phone's function later. Also if i do master reset, will the original files come back or the new ones will remain the same? please advice. thanks!

Your problem is not clear enough. This phone won't tear apart or destroy photos. You're probly shaking the phone too much while taking photos or not letting enough time for Autofocus to work. Press ur phone firmly and wait until the green dot appears and freezes.
Any phone camera takes around 1-2 seconds to open and close.

If u can't send messages at all, you've probly not set ur SMS service centre number correctly
Go to Menu>Control Panel>Messaging>SMS Account and enter the SMS service center number you got from ur operator

P1 is better than M600 because
1. It has big RAM and ROM
2. Multitasking is perfect
3. Business Card Reader is accurate
4. Sound quality is better when modded (follow swmail's technique)
5. Picture and video quality are really superb (mods available for high quality video recording)
6. Wi-Fi works well
7. Quick office 4.0 is available
8. Documents to go v4.0full available to read and edit MS Office 2007 files.
9. Opera Mobile 9.5 beta is smooth and perfect on P1
10. Fring works well
Many applications are available in various forums for P1. Worth buying P1. Google for UIQ3 applications and install them.

I've once had M600 and I really interested with P1.
I'd like to know about these:
1. Does this phone has better processor than M600?
2. How about the camera? Does it have good quality like the cybershot series?
3. How about the sound quality? Is it better than M600.

Glad 2 hear u modded ur phone :) Don't forget 2 install the Sound Mod + Monster Bass and the Camera Mod. It improves music and video recording quality by miles!!

If you did a master reset and still didn't solve the issue its probly an operator setting. You might have to call ur operator and remove call divert. Hope this helps :)

To get Agile messenger (or any software for) P1i, GOOGLE for it!! Make sure you include the words "UIQ3"
For example, to get Agile messenger type "Agile messenger for UIQ3" and you will get the software pages

There is no such software from MSN. But if it is the Messenger (Chatting) u want, use a messaging client like fring, Agile Messenger etc..

Turn off ur P1 then re-insert your memory card when u encountered the message "memory corrupt d:".

pls i nid assistance.i cant just configure my p1 to use internet from my gsm service providers.they said the cant send me the wap settings automatically cos they dnt have provision for that related to p1.said i should put it manually bt i cant just locate where and how to put the wap settings.pls can som1 help me out by hollarin me at ronsco1990@yahoo.com.tanx in anticipation
