When I thought that really well-done mobiles are no more to be found on the market I was not aware of the things P800 can do. Recently got one and my advice is definetly go for it, you won't be dissapointed. Even the design leaves no space for compromises; overall it looks and feels like it was built for the military, you know that stuff that boring users never have access to, precision to the last detail. Real nice piece of work, I'm getting my hopes up again for the future of mobiles. Well done, SE.
For the questions under:
Yes there is a night mode for the integrated camera, and yes, it can read handwriting such as for sms composing.

got to say, anyone who tries to compare this to a nokia (6600 or otherwise) has no idea what this phone is really about, and definitely hasn't used one in anger. everything else is just a toy compared to the p800. this and the p900 are the only true smartphones.

Picking up on a couple of points here - yes, there is software available to edit Word and Excel. It's called Quickoffice Premiere, and costs about £22 (from the SE/Handango site). As for getting MP3's onto the phone, you just drop it into the PC syncstation (which comes in the box) and drag and drop whatever files you like into it. Alternatively you can use a cheap USB card reader and write straight to the memory stick.
The P800 is an incredible phone, the P900 is only slightly better. Both are light years ahead of the market.

I've been using it for the past 2 month, unbelievable phone. great expectation delivered. fuck nokia, the only real challenge this media phone could get is from the sonyericsson p900. Did I mention that it was sexier with no flips on? and I still couldnt believe more and more people are buying 9210 brickphone from nokia, shame on you !!! (lotsa free cracked fullversion applications for the p800 available in yahoo groups, just search for "p800" and join)
have a nice day
