Hi friends, looks to be a very decent phone, a lil slow but then all PDAS are,now something interesting happened.the day i got my phone whenever i would switch on my camera, the phone would hang and then i had to restart it. I even downloaded a firmware from the sony website.But then if someone has the problem, format the memory card and use the phone, the problem shalll be rectified.Over all a ood phone

Haven't yet found anything odd to my handset after software updates, except the sound alarm volume is a little lower..

you can check the memory card and phone memory status of your phone when you remove the flip cover.
just go to menu
then tools
then control panel
then device
then storage wizard
now you will see there the 2 line bars indicating the memory status of your phone and memory card.

to SE :
to be able play video clip on your phone, you gonna need Allok PSP video converter. Convert the video to 240x320 resolution, then saved it to your Video folder in the memory stick.

Hey everyone,need help. I connected my p990i via usb for the first time after installing pc suite and the phone was showing as not connected when i tried to back-up.Yet when I check 'my computer' i can see the phone memory card..infact i was able to transfer an installation file and pictures from my computer to my memory card using copy and paste directly into the folder i wanted. So why is it still saying not connected? Appreciate your help.Thanks in advance

Hi people, I want to buy a memory stick duo ( 2 gigas)but i am not completly sure cause I have heard that the phone get slower and the videos get stuck. Can anyone tell me if this phone can use this memory stick without problems? please let me know your commets to leoreyes20@hotmail.com

THE p-SERIES is a high end business phone that just have added goodies in terms of music..if u want a music phone go for the w-series like d w880. Daniel007,it wasn't the time it took that annoyed me but that it hung after that n wiped off everything in the phone including the OS which i couldn't get back...I'm too scared to try updating the new replacement..besides its working just fine..thanks for ur input though.

Maybe your internet speed is too slow to cause this problem?
I upgraded my Nokia 6233 online, it took about 20 minutes.

shawn, u can make your own theme,sonyericsson have the software for free. just go to sonyericsson development site. or if u want I can msend u the themes I made to you.

Hallo everyone,
What can i say it's a lovely phone but then again I'm a die hard SE owner..I have 3 at present and I've had all the p series from p800 to p990 though I'm not too keen on the P1.
About updates..don't do it if its not absolutely necessary.I spent 3hrs downloading the latest firmware from SE and when it was finally transferring to the phone,it stopped at 45% and said it couldn't continue.After several trys i gave up n my phone had been wiped clean..like formatting a PC with no OS to put back in.I had to return it to the shop for an exchange since it was just a week old. So if it aint broke just leave it n it works just fine..lovely phone still.

Hi guys I just purchased the a BLUETOOTH HEADSET HBH-DS970 from SE and its the best investment I ever made for this phone, the sound is assume and the calls are even better and it has builtin caller ID. I got the phone and the headset for $375.00 US

HELP
while scanning my p990i usingf mcafee anti virus included on the package, i got this error msg saying "kernel soemthing needs to be close" after clicking on cancel or continue, my fone freezes, any idea about this problem and how can i fix it? tnx!
