Hi i just bought the P990 iwas just wondering if someone could give me a tip of how to be able to sync the messages with the pc and wrte SMS messagees from the pc.I had a Nkoia 6680 then i was able to sync using the pc suite but with pc suite of the p990 i cant??thanks

An Old victim of software problems,even local dealers do not confirm abts when any new update to get all hangs problems vanish,even replacement is the same unless new consignment 3rd qrt released it could hit market nxt year the price which has already fallen to 50%,would be fine n 2007 Jan.Why did SE do this blunder it has already lost good faith n its at least P Series.Try not to nxt time===========

I have had this phone for 2 weeks. before this I had an imate jamin. The device is an all round converging technologies device and it does this very well. The phone is particularly good and better than the phone part of the jamin ever was. The operating system takes a bit of getting used to after windows mobile 5 but for me it is much better and the themes are great. It is slightly larger than the jamin but it does have both a qwerty keyboard and dedicated phone keypad (which is removeable and decreases the thickness). The only grumble is really it's thickness but it is still pocketable and I am willing to live with this because the camera is so good. I have previously used palm, win mobile 5 and now symbian. Overall the palm is the better operating system but symbisn is winning me over. Overall a great phone and al lot more besides. Now i don't have to carry so many individual devices. This one really can do it all.

first you have to install the pc suite software that comes with your celfone.after that go to this link http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=ph&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps1_1_3_1_1&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10336&fid=21839&esi=trueto then look for this "Downlaod UpdateService Inst 2.6.4.9.exe." and click it.after you donwload it install it in your pc. click the sonyericsson pc suite in your desktop.put the usb plug in your celfone to your pc and click the update service in the pc suite.just follow the instructions.ok?goodluck....

i reckon u got the latest firmware. Did u upgrade on the sony ericsson website or this was the firmware u had when u purchased the phone?

hi!i'm se p990i proud owner.i'm from philippines.at first i bought the phone in greenhills last sunday and it is made in france.when i started using the phone it is quite slow but when i upgrade the lastest software in sonyericcson website my phone works facinating and superb.i'm not regreting my phone it is the ultimate phone for now.buy it and sure you will appreciate the true function of it.=)

ive been told the SE P990i has a extream faults with the software wen it was realased! not sure if that has been sloved.

i guess the france one would be a reliable one to put ur money on. If i buy it 3 weeks later i would obviously go for the france one. But the thing is, the software upgrade should do the work for both. It doesnt matter really if its chinesse or french. Obviously does when you talk abt chicks
