sorry people, no matter how much i wanted this fone, i just dont think its worth waiting for anymore, and im worried the price will be set too high for its capabilities. my personal opinion is to purchase the xda triton or htc tytn..has all the features of the p990 and its windows based..sorry sony, you just lost another pontential buyer...dont feel too bad though, i still think youre better than nokia!

yeah on the orange web site, just says "coming soon" seems like orange UK are going to be the first network to get it.
you can leave your e-mail address on their web site and they will e-mail when the phone comes out!!

I would say go for the
O2 XDA Trion or XDA Exec
= I-mate JASJAR or JASJAM
=Qtek 9600,
mainly because of:
a) 3G, if you think you are going to use it over normal calls and are willing to pay for it over the price of a normal call.
b) Full keyboard, if you expect to type massive text messages 3+ times a day or use the PHONE as a mini-pc and expect to edit MS Word documents daily while not in the office...then, I suggest a laptop, just because the screen is SOOOO MUCH BIGGER than ANY PHONE... you know page setups, margins, page breaks...viewing a full page...etc.
If not(occasional editing of the text), get the i-mate JAMin / XDA Neo, Qtek S200, they are affordable with excellent crystal clear displays and a lot of windows based functionality, like:
-pdf viewer
-powerpoint mobile
-Excel
-Word
-Pocket MSN
-Skype
-Zip
-On phone picture editor(crop etc..)
-...etc....
For it’s size and looks, nothing beats a JAMin.

another thing is tht in some mobile forums website somebody with larrymobilephonedepot@.... is posting that it delivers mobiles at cheapest costs including SE p990 at only usd 145....:!!!!

Well to begin with this, is a smartphone of dreams with Sony Ericsson putting all the features currently available in it, including the award winning k750i 2 MP lens.
However, the price is a major dampner!

can please someone explain to me,what is the difference between p990 and p990i?i never had nor bought an SE phone and i'm interrested in p990,but i'm kinda of confused with "I" in the end.i noticed that most se phones have an "I" version.Please tell me the differences if there are some.10x a lot
