I think SE phones are the best in general but the P990 is the best in terms of features and quality. I cant wait to buy it
It's taken too long to be available

@ Raheel Tariq - The P910 is not 'newly announced' as you state ! It has been announced last year. Actually the features where pretty good by the time got announce by not by today's standards anymore. I NEED WIFI 'g' not only the outdated 'b' standard ! ! !

Sony Ericssons Rocks!!! The newely announced phones p990i is in every case Simply Irresistible, I have used nokia as well as samsung from thier feet to head but haven't found much satisfication in such companies, but after the arrival of sony in mobile communication this company has extreemed every limits of providing customer satisfication p990i is more executive n more more then nokia communication comparitive with that this phone has got thousand times enhanced featuers the major difference can be felt by its smaller in size... i am waiting for this phone to be launched in market...

                  This is great phone..
I saw some post that it's technology will be obselete then it release...
I only can say it will be release on June or July...
can't say it is out dated... coz it have some hi end technology that others don have...

why do u need EDGE, when u hav 3G, edge only 2.75g..

I don't really know what edge is, can someone tell me? This phone doesn't have edge, but after reading a little about edge it seems as though it's a replacement for 3g when the phone doesn't have it. Is this true? So given the fact that this phone has 3g, it won't need edge?

2ndly, does this phone record movies in the same way the n70 does (my current, very slow, phone)? The n70 ppicture quality is very good and i wouldn't want to go backwards.

My opinion its the same as Saeed Ghafourian,SE probably dont care at all about
sell the phone after June or July, buy for tthat time probably many of us cant wait and in the market after that date we have more options.but i stil know that this is a great phome

i own both samsung d600 n se w900i, i witnessed e screen colour rendering on e latter is not so bright, vivid n rich compare 2 e earlier. i'm juz wondering would tat happen e same 2 p990i? i understand samsung has e best technology in colour reproduction. juz hoping p990i is not tat bad on e screen 2 e fact tat i dun admit w900i bears a top-class screen.

Reading the comments about the P990 is actually more fun than having the device. I dont get it why people like Mosa are after the phone when they dont even know its got a 2MP camera. Mosa I suggest you go for a simpler device. As for me , am still waiting but am losing interest. Better devices are on the way by the 2nd half of 2006.Its now upto sonyericsson to either hold on to potential customers like myself or lose the market to competition

                                @ GAS
Yes, you can't compare unreleased phones.
Example: Read other opinions here and @Nokia, where people bought highly spec-ed phones and guess what...they didn't work well at all-and people sold it or gave it back. So, you and Mickey can't compare on written specs alone. How do you vote on the "Performance" bar (the green one) here on the right???
Gas, you are the lêssër ..... to insult, based on opinions. I am sad for you :(
                                Grow up :)
I'll spend about 30min going through each phones functions, & then decide what I like and need. Stop insulting people.

I think P990i is indeed the greatest phone!! It has a lot of out-standing features although the screen is a little bit smaller than the previous P-series. However, overall = A+

@Texas The Sharp 903 beats it hands down ! The 903's picture quality is almost like a normal digital camera - not to mention the optical zoom ! There are actually quite a few cells out there which are better the the K750i when it comes to picture taking - and remember the K750i + alike are only good at pictures and not much els :-(

the display is actually smaller than on the old one???
i'd rather have a huge touchscreen than the qwerty keypad... like p800/900
i think the p910 had a nice solution to that problem i wonder why they changed it...
