1) 3G is not ready in US, so we have our reason to complain about lacking EDGE.
2) Wifi is nice, but how often you have hotspot close to you. Not to mention the worthless battery.
3) UIQ 3.0 is new, how many applications can you migrate or use?
4) P990 doesn't look very professional compare to my P910 and N70
5) With all these spec. the price range will be around $700-$800.
With all these, I believe I will either go for a cheap N70 or Windows Mobile 5.0 phones

The 320x240 screen size seems a bit improbable judging by the photo and the dimensions: 114 x 57 x 26 mm. The width is the same as for P910i and only the length has been reduced by a mere 1mm. If SE has been able to fit in a 320x240 screen in this phone size then this is awesome. I found PocketPC and Palm based phones way too inconvenient to use as a mobile phone. SE PXXX series delivers the best combination as yet of a phone/pda device.

This is certainly SE master piece. Can't compare with Nokia Communicator (especially no backlights on QWERTY keypad - a severe amnesia from Nokia). Nice features. I think EDGE won't be a problem, as long as GPRS high class is available. This would be a great device in 2006. Hope the price will not as crazy as Nokia N90.

P990 is indeed a great phone based on its specifications. What is so catching about this phone is, it is UMTS; 2 megapix camera just enough for good pics and clips coz the higher the resolution, the higher the phone memory requirement; 9h talktime battery life, definitely more if on standby mode; expandable memory up to 4GB?, and a smartphone. Design wise, not quite attractive, and I am not sure if it has a 3D surround speakers which I think it is more than a plus factor for a phone, since it entertains me and becomes a headturner if it starts ringing. The 150g for a phone is considerable for a smart phones packed with advanced features.

Excellant! Finaly released as a 3G handset and the added bonus of wifi, i wonder what the chances are for it be released on 3. My guess is Vodafone will snap this up ASAP, still waiting for the Motorola A1000 replacement (A1010?)

im a big se fan.p990 is awesome in featuers but in looks p910i is better.they should just change the keypad of p990 to p910i
and make it black in color like the s710 that would have been awesome.the small screen will do compare to the p910.the back side of the p990 looks awesome no need 2 change that only the keypad is little ugly.
what say guyzzz????all said n done se roxxxx

to bobby:
pal, you dont need EDGE anymore with the UMTS.actually, UMTS(3G) covers EDGE(2.75G) so why use EDGE? i know this is a long way better(ahead) that the much talked N90. it has the capabilities that are absent on the k750/w800... go SE.
