hi everybody!!!
I have dowloaded/installed the iSync plugin (1.07) for mac and don't work!!! :(
I read in a forum that it only work with the latest firmware but I don't know witch is the latest firmware... I have this one (vodafone branded):

I don't find in the SE site (http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/products/p990i?cc=us&lc=en) the latest firmware to download... where I can find it??? can anybody help me???

Hey, guys, i'm planning to buy this phone next week. I've been dreaming of this phone for the past 3 months. could everyone told me that this phone is the best PDA phone in the market.. I love the features of the p1 but the design really sucks. it looks like a calculator with very tiny keypads. my fingers are not that big but it can't fit on the keys of the p1i. I have now my K850i but i'm not happy with it because of the navigation keypads. I need your opinions, at first sight i was really captivated on the looks of the p990i. I think the P990i does not support a 8gb memory card, it says on the website of sonyericsson that P990i only supports upto 4gb of memory card... the only sad thing to know is P990i is not a GPS navigation tool unlike P1i it is a GPS receiver like a nokia N95...

@ spoiled angel........i think the latest firmware is R9GA001. mine is R9F011 but it is going great and steady doesnty hang. how about your firmware R9G001, is it going steady and doesnt hang? i dont know if i'll be contented with my firmware although it is not the latest, or do i have to update is? i have put a lot of software. i dont want to update because these softwares might be erased.

i have a nokia 5310 and SE p990i and i like the sound of p990i better. also, if you would like to buy a memory card, be sure it's original. above is the site where you can see the original from counterfeit memory card. hope this one helps.

I have been using this phone for the past three months it is excellent, calls, music, video e.t.c it run any Java programme perfectly.
I believe more can be done to prevent it, from freezing sometimes that will warrant putting off the phone.
But above all it is a lovely companion

Hi i m using stereo bluetooth handsfree from 2 months. I think it is sony ds 970 i.e. with caller Id. The speakers r great. The range is good. I can c the name of the caller in the small screen. However there is a major problem of hanging. Once it get hanged, u need 2 charge the headset 2 reset. Also if u fuddle with back next keys to often, the set gets hanged. If u plug in the regular handsfree in your handset, u can listen to the radio on yr bluetooth headset & u can change the channels as well by using the back next buttons. Also remember in the flight mode, u cannot use it. Remember 2 carry the charger with u.

Well P990i supports upto 8gb of memory stick.
And buying headphones from ebay might be risky. Cause there are a lot of headset in the market which is the exact copy, and are from china, cheap. But not reliable. Since I am Pakistan, I find no difference, but when you listen music, you find the real difference.
I would suggest, spending some more money and get from a reliable source.

dont ever buy this phone .. ive been using it for 3 months now .. and it completely suxx .. keypad's giving problem ... and any application started .. even after u quit .. runs in the background .. !!

I want to buy a HBH DS 980 Stereo bluetooth headset and the only place i saw a reasonable price is at ebay and i am not to sure has anyone ever bought something from ebay. or do u advice me to order from them.

VIDEO CALLING BETWEEN DIFFERENT UMTS BANDS.

To my previous comment. In theory it should be possible to make a video call between 850/1900/2100Mhz UMTS bands.
I made a video call from Australia to Japan (Softbank, 2100Mhz) before and it worked great.
But I also tried making a Video Call within Australia (Hutch 3, 2100Mhz to Telstra, 850Mhz) and though the call connected I was unable to see a video image. The other party was able to see me however. The image on my screen kept saying "connecting" and it never did, but voice data was being transmitted.
