I have this telephone 6 months and buttons dont crack at all. I love this telephone. if your telephone butons cruck, it dont mean that for else telephone they do...:D

I have purchased Sony ericsson S500i model on 12 th Aug 2007 from Sony World Aundh. No problem till Y'day noon. In the evening all of sudden the phone got switch off. Immedietly I went to Sony Ericsson repair show room at Tilak road. I was told that the hard ware of my phone is not working and hence new hard ware will be requried to start the phone. The cost for this work will be 70 % of the purchase value ie. approx Rs 7000=00.

ive read most of the opinions of evry1 so far an the most of u guys talk about kepads breakin an so on,but i have 1 now over 6 mths it has no case r coverin i text,take lots of pics & videos and my talk time is like 5-8hrs a day especially at peak times an my fone is still in perfect condition.dis fone is 1 that u have 2 care 4 in order 2 get what u want out of its features.it is a great fone an i really like it.thumbs up 4 me

This fone was my first, its really not worth buying. i fixed it over 5 times and i have over 3 buttons that dont even work. on side of the lights dontt even work. the place were you insert the charger and the usb dont work. it dosent take any slight falls.

I got this phone for Christmas from my boyfriend and within 3 days the keys started to crack. 2 weeks later all but 3 keys have gone. I think the phone itself is gorgeous and I am a loyal SE user, my last one lasted me 3 years, but as reluctant as I am, I am taking it back.
After reading other reviews, people claim that it has come back worse after being sent off, so I am going to state my consumer rights and get a replacement.
It's really not worth all the hassle and money people, which is a shame.

I bought this cell to my wife and she has been using it for a year. This phone is one of thw worse phone I have experienced. Very bad construction, mine is already broken many times. It can not even survive a gentle fall. Its cover's side locks breaks after a while.
Not to mention the very clumsy and low quality key-pad. All the keys developed cracks after 2 weeks of normal use. Keys are not user friendly. I am surprised that SE came up with such a low-quality phone.
I would never recommend this phone to anyone. It has been my worse experience with any phone so far.

i have had my sony ericsson for 2 months and it has been fine but when i turned it on this morning itstarted to radomlly press the 8 key when i am texting in the middle of words it put t u and v in it is so annoying any body no what to do? thanks Georgia, x

The phone is great. People say that the keys break, but ive had mine for 4 months and nothing has broken yet. Good themes, colours, and design!
