i like this phone....... its really cool.... but can memory be extend upto 1gb or 2gb of this phone

i THINK i got it..that light is only for incomming calls only?
can someone confirm that? also, if that is the case, is there a way to change the light for normal browsing etc.?

Iv had this phone a day now and im sending it back. I love S E but there are slight problems with this phone.
1. yes it is true- there is a slight problem with the key pad but it is caused by people using there nails to text or by not pressing the button in the center of the button. if press down in the center of the buttons with your thumbs -you will be fine.
2. taking off the battery cover drives you mad , but with practice its easy.
3. on mine the lights would not change to pink ? strange !
this is fab little phone,its just not right for me

ANGELA, btw..my name is steve..lol...anyways..i found a person who fixed it..but didn't know how he did..this is what he said "I had that same problem too but I forget how I got it resolved. I think it was my own fault - I expected to instantly see the light applied. I'll try to see if I can remember how to replicate it.

im sending mine back as i cant seem to fix the lights. i got mine from coolnewmobile and im just waiting for them to get stock and replace my phone.
not many people seem to have this problem...

i satisfied when i use this phone.. the design was very complete and easy to explore. but why at my phone, not write 's500i' but it change to 'TIM'.. it is same n true product from sony ericsson..??

my i can't seem to change my light effect color...everytime i change to ie. red or anything.it stays at green/light blue...and it doesn't change..anyone having this problem and have found a fix?if so let me know..
angela..if you found a fix..let me know...
in terms of cracking..not yet..just becareful then u should be ok...

I cant get the battery cover open, it just keeps clicking and i dont want to push it too hard and break it

I have read your comments but haven't heard anything about putting your own ring tones onto the phone.
Can you put your own ringtones for received text messages and voicemail?
For my samsung sgh t809 I was able to make my own ring tones but had to trick the phone to accept it. I had to change the extension from mp3 and just change it to 3gp and it would work. Is the SE the same way?

well, "Use Your Brain" their are photos of the cracked keypad and their have been several people including myself that have sent the phone back twice as both handsets had the cracked keys after 4 to 5 days. They keep sending me new ones but the same problem persists, i dont know what to do because i want my money back yet i bought it off ebay.

Maxx, the phone has one and it shows up when in locked mode/closed and you press the volume button, a white screen with black numbers shows the time.

I strongly believe there is a lot of BS from soe people who post their opinion!.....
Any phone company will provide you with a one year warranty, worldwide. So, if the keypad does crack; I'm sure they will change it for you immediately. If their product keep on cracking; SE will definately replace another one OR another model!
Sue SE if they don't do so for you!
Are you guys really stupid enough to believe in those comments???!!!
SE is such a big company, do you believe that they will sell something to ruin their reputation???

To owners:
Does this cell show numeric clock as a screensaver while in standby mode??? All SE phones have this, but I haven't been able to notice this feature in video previews of this mogel. It is new and has all this fancy light effects, so maybe SE abandoned clock screensaver for lesser energy consumption. I doubt that, but I need to be sure. Any answer will be great. Thanks.

I have no problems with the Keypad, the phone is great to me, even the pictures that I have taken are unbelievable for a 2.0 MP camera.
The only negative part is that it does not have 3G. Otherwise the phone is good.

I just got the phone, it is fantastic, the everchanging is awesome, phone looks great in person, feels great. Some cons are that it is creaky, the keypad feels fragile (moreso from all the people having problems), and taking the battery cover off is difficult. Other than that it is a great phone, good battery life, can't wait to use the music player and see how well that is. Does anyone w/ cracked keypads know how much it costs to replace them from SE? Since I have one of the first batch I'm expecting a crack sometime in the near future and would like to know the approximate cost.

I have this Phone 4 almost 2 weeks
& every day I send more than 40 SMS
I didnt have any problem with my keypad
The sound quality is really perfect even Better than W series ! u can test it
the design , colour ,themes are fantastic !
really better than its Picz !
