          @ Amethyst

Sad to say, but the S500i does NOT have FM radio built in. I just got done reading the user manual online and there is no mention of FM radio with RDS.

SeF.. yea right, not to mention if this is what you call as mid range and it is very good in quality, then prepare for the best from SE in the next coming announcement 14 june. You'll know who SE is. So far SE has only been announcing low-mid and not a cutting edge high end phone, the next cutting edge will be available from this date on.

hig end phones are phones equipped with OS! not because of their built or their price! the 8800 is a mid range phone eventhough itsvery expensive and glamorous bec its a non OS phone. People saying this phone is big is really stupid, and I think most of them are americans! considering that they've only recently had mobile phones and not everyone in their stinking country can actually operate one.
Yes, Sony isn't doing anything good with their phone's software, they aren't doing any innovation with it but they are accelarating in their design dept"

all SE phones have OS, to be more precise, propietary OS (Java OS and uses ericsson's A100 platform) so does 8800 have Nokia "Java" OS running S40 Platform either.

"Sony isn't doing anything good with their phone's software"

really? that sentence sounds like you are saying that Sony "generally" have "faulty software" if you visit some SE sites forum(specially symbian UIQ) they'll tell you that they already have what they need for a good software system(stable enough at least) thanks to SE's "serious" efforts on UIQ, P1 has arrived along with predictably better stability. but it still "needs more" development(i.e. "tighter" security, better UI customization,\) admit it or not, SE's non-symbian phones have better, more reliable OS system than symbians do;)

I'm not going t lie, I was once very enthusiastic about this phone, but after much research i find that it is probably not worth it as far as specifications go. It just doesn't fit my personality. However the Samsung u600 looks like a much better phone to buy. But the only con is that the battery life is absolutely terrible.

"So 6500 slide should be a little more expensive than, say, Samsung U600 but I doubt it will cost more than 450 euros"

i agree, but 6500 slide's price will drop lower than the U600 in the mean time:)

SeF, well here in Finland 6500 slide will cost 370 euros (not including taxes). The cheapest price on S500i is 265 euros (tax included) and for N95 699 euros (tax included).

So 6500 slide should be a little more expensive than, say, Samsung U600 but I doubt it will cost more than 450 euros. So it certainly will be a bit expensive but not so expensive that only people with a lot of money can buy (which is the case with Nokia 8800 Sirocco, 8600 Luna or, indeed, N95).

No AF and I don't see a flash from pictures, so I'm assuming no flash either.

6500 will surely be more expensive than S500 even T650 maybe:),I won't call 6500 slide to be a "mid range" phone certainly because the specs and construction tell us that it is a "High-end" non-os, metal housing could even be better than N95s. but if nokia or GSMArena called this only "mid-range", then prepare for some serious flaws regarding the general aspects:D i.e. "poor" construction. ridiculous imho

It's a good phone with different menu than the other SE phone although "they" can be flashed. But there is a trouble for me. How much the cost of it?
