from philippines:im using s700i since jan./2005,and i think its one of the best phone i ever had.
features:
1)you can only use up to 128 mb memory ( supported ).thats the maximum capacity.
2)you can change the ringtone using mp3's but problem is you cannot use mp3's as message alert tone or the tone when someone texted u.
3)u cannot rename the pictures on ur phone otherwise u transferred it to ur pc.
4)easy to transfer files through blutooth than nokia.
5)its not symbian so u can only have limited applications to install such as games.
6)its not true that theres no limit to capture videos,it takes only i think 3 minutes video covering.
7)nice appearance as digital camera.
8)u can use the flash as flash light.
9)good as radio.
10)i cant install any application aside from games.
11)u can zoom pictures and edit it after picture shots.
12)its a picture caller i.d.
13)my incoming text messages ( inbox )only saves in the phone and not into the sim card.theres no option to save it to the simcard.
14)great cellphone but still its not perfect.

this fone is actually good lookin than other sony ericsson models but it has its drawbacks, my s700i doesnt have T9 text and further more the video doesnt play in full screen .that is really bad as the fone has a big screen which i no actual fun

this phone 2 me is a bad phone..sometimes i have2turn the phone off, remove the batt just4my memory stick just2work again.. if i try2brows the wap service n get a call or even a text my phone crashes n resets itself.. any1else have this prob let me no..? i am just waiting2up grade now4a pda from o2 but no2sure wot2do.. maybe the w800i but then again sonyericsson keep rushing ther phones2get them on the market wiv out all the testing.. all they want is our money not custmer satisfaction.. if any1as any iders on any great n i mean GREAT PHONES pls let me no as soon as.. One question: does the status led do anything else then lighting red while charging? anything else at all? mine does nothing else and I wonder if that's a problem or just energy saving?! Thanks all

I have seen this model of phone in black and i was just wondering, is it possible to change the silver cover to a black one. can this phone change covers or is it a one suit card?

i just bought this phone is good the only thing lacking is very low cal volume..i am not sure that in my set or allover,,can u help pls telling how to increase the volume..

Hi can anybody help?!
I have just bought a bluetooth dongle for my PC so that I can transfer photos from my phone, unfortunatly I do not seem to be able to open the photos. I t has worked as far as it seems to have synchronised but no luck in getting photos open. Please someone help, I have only bought this because the usb data cable that I bought wouldn't work.

This is to Ali,
1. yes you can change your sms ringtones, I've changed mines over a period of time and all you have to do is go to message->message alert!
2. I am sure you can watch the picture full sreen coz mine does.
3. Just turn on the silent mode, and you won't have any sound anymore when taking picture because mine does it perfectly.
If you still have some problem I would recommend going to the sony ericsson store and talk to the guy overthere to fix this problem.
