Well I'm concerned about the MP3 & Radio quality, is it good, stereo?!!
don't tell me to get the W800 cuz it's gonna be so expensive as the K750 is about 600$ :S

Just Spoke to Vodafone who have informed me that yes the mp3's are blocked and cannot be used as ringtones (For copyright reasons apparantly) I was advised to go onto the Sony Ericsson website and download the software for the phone which will enable this to work. The only drawback is that the whole menu system will change and Vodafone live (Which I think is excellent compared to some other networks WAP Sites) will no longer be accessible unless it gets saved as a bookmark.

I feel your dissapointed with a standby time of this phone.
I noticed that all cellular phone brands:
Nokia, Samsung, Sony, Motorola are commonly lie about the phone's standby time!
I is always 2 times shorter ( in everage)
than advertised. Talk time is pretty much accurate though.
SO PEOPLE, BE ADVISED!
Id it says 300 hr of talk time, that means in reality 150 hr! If it says 500hr , it means 250 hr!
There were only one Nokia phone that was advertised standby time without lying. That was the king of all cell. phone Nokia 6310!
Unfortunetly becaused of our low-graded microchiped society's low demand on that phone model, Nokia stopped producing it
(what a shame!).

Sure the S700i and if u don't care about the price u could wait for the K750i it's far better

Hi! I just wanted to know what the difference is between the Sony Ericsson s700 and s710? And which cell phone should I get? I need help! Should I get the Samsung d500, the Sony Ercsson s700-s710 or a Panasonic?

well, my girlfriend n i just bought da 700i. not sure if its a good phone yet but we like it. got nice pics n we really dont care if its bad cuz we didnt have to pay for it. but we need to know about da java part plz.

i had this phone for 24 hrs and during that time i rechardged the battery 3 times... makes one wonder how on earth it has a 300hr standby time....
the phone itself is not bad at all and is fully loaded with features but the only drawback is that one cannot customise the soft key buttons to suit their needs and therefore i have returned the damn thing... u buy a phone to cater for ur needs and not vice versa... if the soft keys could be changed then i wud have definately kept it but alas this wasnt the case and by the way vodafone have their live feature pre programmed and cannot be removed no matter how hard u try to remove it this is annoying especially when u want the phone to do what u want it to do...
my advice is buy a sim free phone much better
and a lot less hassle
the camera isnt brilliant either it has a strobe effect so is slow zoom isnt brilliant but the sounds are great crystal clear...compared to nokia i would say nokias are a lot more user friendly than sony phones but i guess this is personal choice
my overall advice stick to a nokia 6630 a lot better features wise and all round
i wouldnt consider another sony ericsson unless the soft keys could be customised by the user people u have been warned

hi all. i'm from egypt and i was wondering if i can set mp3s as ring tones here in vodafone egypt or not...and what about the java applications installation problems..
is it better or nokia 7610 !! or better wait for nokia N series...thanx all :) :)

Any news from the Software to install the Java games and application using bluetooth?
If not this is most stupid phone that i ever see in the market. What good is the big and sharp screen when it don't have the basic funtions.

Cheers Mr Reply but how can I get it unlocked? do I need to speak to vodafone? can other networks all use mp3s as ringtones? also what about the slowness is anyone finding this cos I wanna know whether its just MY phone being a bit dodgy

Vodafone has blocked the use of mp3 ringtones on Sony Ericsson S700i and K700i.

Finally recieved it!! Great phone sound quality is amazing even tho pictures dont look as good ON THE PHONE as my sharp GX20 when I printed em out at tesco they where really clear and I was much more impressed. One thing tho... I have some great mp3's on my phone but for some reason cannot use them as ringtones. This is seriously p*ssin me off and I was wonderin if any1 else has this problem as I am on Vodafone. Any1 on o2 out there who can use mp3's as ringtones? Let me know. Also, is any1 elses s700i feel a bit slow when navigating sometimes? ive still got the 32mb card in there but not used loads of the memory. I want to know whether a larger capacity memory card will solve this or whether I need to update the software

How to install java games or applications into the phone using bluetooth?
If nobody can answer my question, you can take this phone and trow it into the nearest sea/river or lake.

that's about the quality display, not the size of display. You should read the review part Nokia 6230i, Gsmarena talked about the quality and size of display very carefully there. Otherwise the information is right.

Answer- the P910 screen is larger than the S700's one. P910 has larger pixles, which means less of a clear image. S700's screen size is 2.3inches.
same applies with K700 and K500. K700 has a sharper and more defined image; because it packs more pixles in less space
