i just bought this phone a few weeks ago before i bought it i saw it on internet in other web page and it said it could record up to i hour 30 min. of video but i can only record 2 minutes and the recording will stop eventhough i selected the option of unlimited recordong does anyone know about this?

With external memory of 128 MB(Memory stick Duo), can Sony ericsson S700 record video for up to 1 hour?

Again...s/w version can be viewed by pressing these keys in this sequence: right, star, left, left, star, left, star. Goto s/w info & check the version stated. Hope you get it right this time around.

Does anyone else have a voice quality problem on this phone? There must be more than 2 people with this issue, so speak up people.
Every brand of the cell phones has its advantages to others due to the nature of the brand.
EXAMPLE:
SONY ERICSSON has the best digital camera because of the brand name- SONY (Sony specializing in regular digital cameras unlike Samsung or Nokia who never did digital cameras).
SAMSUNG AND NOKIA HAVE better voice clarity and very easy to use menu comparing to all other brands.
Samsung also has the best design of the phones so far ( OTHER brands come up with the same design only few months after SAMSUNG, because they take time to copy Samsung's design)
PANASONIC AND SHARP HAVE the best color screen on their phones, since they specialize in High Quality TV screens.
SO THERE IS NO ONE PERFECT.

i have had the same problem with the microphone. when i call someone, they complain about background noise. stopped using it now......i'm using a d500, but the camera is fantastic. !!!!

Folks,
Just picked up a S700 and noticed that the voice calls are really bad. It almost sounds as if the Microphone is too goo and is picking up a lot of the background noises. I've tested the Nokia 6630 in the same location and it sounds a lot better. I love the form factor of the SE and would love to test it more but the voice quality is a major put off.
Have any of you fine fellows found similar issues? I'm in the States so it may be a 1900Mhz issue.

hey guys! r u blind??? these things u ask have been mentioned so many times, i will repeat them once more!
1) with r3k firmware upgrade which is available in every s.e. service center, you can shoot video of very long time (i had 12:30 minutes then my memory was full)
2) every mp3 has the option to be used as ringtone, if not then maybe you got a locked phone from telephone provider (vodafone or o2 etc.)
3) quickest way to transfer is through a card reader cos u got usb 2.0 speed (takes 40 seconds for a 6 mb mp3). although a usb cable is not bad too (sloewer however). the slowest ways are bluetooth and ir. dont buy such adapters if you want fast transfers in large files.
4) no matter the version an ordinary s700 bought from sony ericsson or anyone else who hasnt lock it! takes pictures without sound if you have it to mute before taking the picture.

some of the best way to tranfer your song from PC to HP, is using bluetooth, or get a card reader, card reader will be much more faster, but u will need to take out your MS Duo and that trouble some. the choice is yours

you can download FREE themes for S700i at www.zedge.no , but u will need to resigter first, it free also
