On the V800 you have to use a DRM packager on MP3's to use as ringtone , probably the same on this. The DRM packager is readily available on the sony ericsson developer website if you register and works a treat .

does anyone know if it is possible to use mp3s as a ringtone on the s700?? I know that some of the built-in ring tones are mp3s. I can't seem to use the mp3 on the memory stick as a ringtone.

to p34c3m4k3r.the only advantage the nokia 6630 or whatever your saying has over the s700i is the symbian series60.but the s700i has a hell of a lot more features e.g fm radio and infa-red

Thx desaban. However, I read in some forum sites the same you told me which is right, but I also found out that some people with different software version (older maybe) and they don't have the camera sound. You think it might be possible to change the software version??

to add more folders:
go into:
1.file manager
2.Sounds
3.press the top right button (more) on the top half of phone
4.scroll down to 'New Fodler'
5.Press select and name folder
then you can move the files in and out of each folder, you can create more folders and name them for different types of music, creating a library.

Hi there, just got this phone a few days back.A wonderful phone.HOwever not flawless. Anyway, is there anyway i can increase the number of sms i can keep in the phone?I think its capped at 100 now and since the internal memory is ard 32 mb..can i utilise that?
One more thing. If u put all the mp3 files into the phone, all the .mp3 files would be played by the mp3 player.Is there anyway i can make the player plays only the songs and not the .mp3 ring tones that i have?It would be abit stupid to listen to a song,the very next moment u have to listen to ur ring tone right? Anyway i tried seperating the files into different folders MP3 and AUdio but to no avail. Appreciate the help!Thanks!

crap!! swivel screen totally sucks. Stuck half way through. The only good points are the camera and display. That's all.......sold it for a mitsubishi M900 which is better
