The phone is adverstised as having a USB port. Where is it on the phone. It mentions nothing about USB in the manual. Am I missing something?

I actually e-mailed sony about this. The phone can only support a 128 meg dua memory stick. And no matter what the salesman at the store tells you, there are no plans of improving that. This seems to be the only bad thing about this phone though, looks pretty rock'n.

Aman, I was born in Syria but live in th USA. I to Syria almost every summer. I am just getting this phone and it should work in Syria because Syria uses both 900 and 1800. The phone is capable of operating on 1800 and will work in Syria. But the reason it isn't working for you is most likely because your phone is locked to a certain service providor in the USA and needs to be unlocked (Search google for "cell phone unlocking"). Also, there are now 2 service providors in Syria. Syriatel and Areeba. Syrialtel is 900 I believe and Areeba is 1800 I think. Good luck!

1) The phone takes a Memory Stick because all SONY products use Memory Stick
2) Sony Ericsson phones are great - I've had them for four years. Never had a problem with one. Although I heard you always need to wait until the 2nd dispatch of a particular phone to make sure all the bugs are removed.
3) And for one other question I keep seeing, perhaps the best way to put music and files on your phone is through bluetooth. I have a mac, and send files between my computer and the phone constantly!
Does anyone know of a really good handsfree for this phone? And a deskstand?

Hello
is there anyone can help me with the s710. i got one from usa .but here in Syria it wouldn't work coz of the frequency . it recive i think frequencies of 850 1800 1900 , so they told me the problem that here in middleast we do not have the 850 (enhanced gsm) . so my question , is there anyway i can fix my phone to make it works on 900 insitead of 850

the pic to wallpaper thing is a problem. i have the phone and all i do is turn the phone off and turn it back on and then i can set the pic as a wall paper. just trying to help jeff.

juss go to pictures and click more then use then set as wallpaper.
i been usin this fone since liek last yr.. without any problemz.. so juss try to figure out, if not, take off ur battery while the fone is on, and put it back up.

im having the same problem with my phone.
taking a picture and then using it as wallpaper, it says its changed the wallpaper, but it never does. when i first got this phone like 2 months ago, it was working fine and all the pictures could be used as wp, now, just an empty screen. Themes and screensavers are fine, and screensavers can be used as wp, so whats the problem here? thanks

Ive taken pictures with my new phone but i just cant figure out how to set them as my wallpaper...the phone keeps recognizing the theme but not the picture I tried to apply as the background :o( HELP!!!!

man, I just got the 710 about 2 days ago and let me tell ya it's pretty much a camera that can be used as a phone. It is great and I highly recommend it.

So after a week of messing with this thing. I think this is a GREAT phone. The only downfall would be that Yes you can only get a 128mb card. a PRO DUO will not work this phone. I have no idea why they would do this. But i think 128mb is sufficient enough anyways. Video is good i don't really care that you can't use up the whole screen to watch things it still looks good. Picture quiality is SOO good on the phone. I had the razr before and i never really liked the camera. Mp3 player is great also the sound quality is great when used with headphones. It sucks that you can't use a standard 2.5mm plug but you can always just pick up an adapter from best buy for about 2 bucks. other than that everything else is great. I'm getting use to the bulkyness of the phone (i'm just coming from the razr so you can imagne the diff)

Please help! Today my camera stopped recognizing the memory stick duo card that came with the phone. Whenever I turn on the camera, it says "Insert memory card" - even if the memory card is inserted already. It used to work great - I had a dozen pictures on it. I tried everything I could think of, including formatting the card using the software that came with the camera. I only have one card so I can't try with another to see if it's the media or the phone at fault. If you know what to do please email me bmghazen@yahoo.com

Is there a defect on my phone??? I cant even take a pic of my pug because if he even walks there is a blur. You cant even move your hand or anything one bit. Is this how the s710 is? I keep seeing rave reviews about the photo quality. Email me if you have any advice.

Is the highest MS this phone supports really 128mb? Because I have a 512mb MS pro duo for my PSP and it would suck if I had to buy another one just for the phone..

Im looking for something to replace my current phone but also to act as a decent MP3 player (so I dont have to carry both). Now I understand that 128meg cards are the biggest cards these will handle so can anyone recomend a better phone/mp3 player? Something with a decent battery life?

u gotta drop it in the media -> audio folder rather then the mp3 folder and it will work fine
