I've read anonymous reports which quote unnamed, if allegedly highly-placed, Cingular sources, that the S710a could be in the stores by the second week of February. Keep in mind the phone has only been listed as being available since November of 2004, and these sorts of rumors have been pretty constant.
To Benny Boy: the S710a differs from the S700i in that it's modified for the American market - the S710 doesn't have an FM radio, supports EDGE, and works in the 850/1800/1900 mHz. frequency bands. The S700 has an FM radio, has no high-speed data access, and works in the European/Asian 900/1800/1900 bands.

whats the difference between this an the standard s700? All i can see is that its a tiny bit bigger and supports edge, are those the only 2 differences?

Little fat ain't it ? but its a great phone, MP3, 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth etc. Its so jam-packed with useful features. Own one myself and I've never regretted getting it except the fact that its fat.

Dimboy, there are at least ten grammatical errors in your short post, so before you start criticizing others, a great many of whom are using English as their second language, I would suggest you start taking steps to improve your own abysmal English language skills.

The s710 will have a memory stick pro duo expansion slot which would obviously address the issue of the limited 128 Mb built in capacity. Since the MS Pro Duo has a maximum storage capacity of 512 MB and with an adapter could accommodate the 4 Gig
storage of the higher capacity MS Pro. I wouldn't worry about the memory expandability of this phone.

i apologize for being rude...but some of the people here (even most) dont know how to write correct english grammar! the reason why i'm sharing these comments of mine is because as much as i really want to fully-undertsand the conversations going on, it's just so funny and hilarious to read all the grammars...
please check your english grammars first before you write in english...because you're just making yourself look stupid!!!!!!!!!!!
