this hp does not need sim card to be operated..u can use the cam,mp3 & its other features except calling features without inserting a sim card

Further to my last comments, I've done some digging, and I can't see the S700 or S710 being released in Australia too soon. Expansys and a couple of other sites don't have it listed on their pre-orders.

Hey Guys,
The S700/S710 will have a SIM card, SIM free refers to a phone bought without a SIM card, as in, offline. When you buy a SIM free handset you must have a SIM to put in the handset yourself.
Hope this clears things up.
