Yes, satio has firmware updates, in fact in we got 2 new firmware updates in 6 months.

Still researching why certain... moreI'm from the philippines, i bought my satio last november 15 2009 and ever since i never experienced all of those problems they are mentioning. Although, i found the phone quiet laggy with the firmware R1BB but since then i have updated to RICA then the latest R2AK, noticeably, the phone gets faster than before. My phone runs some application i.e. fring, ms dictionary, asphalt 4 HD,checkers, dr jukka fake messenger, skyfire, quick office 6.2, handy blacklist, advance devise lock, slide lock, battery level,s6o bible (i am a christian), water level and the latest version of equalizer.
there lot of apps that you can run on it but its your preference what suites you best.

Maybe the ones that dont hang dont run applications? Dont want to end up with one that hangs that cant be replaced. Beside Singapore. I wonder what countries other folks wit satio that hangs lives. Hope those with these can share their locations and shed light how to look for maybe hardware versions that are prone to hang

I find the software is total let down..otherwise it is an excellent phone.. anyway most recent software is R2AK006 released on 18-02-2010. To all new user: Do upgrade your software before using it will give you a better experience.

Useless phone.. I have it
