The equalizer app uses the in-built equalizer that is part of the Satio multimedia platform! It is just a way of turning it on/off and selecting the preset.

I think that when listening to music in headphones the equalizer really enhances the listening experience! My favorite Sony Ericsson equalizer presets are Dance, Classical and MegaBass.

now no need to think about equalizer anymore.. you can exit that application if u already choose ur equalizer. no need to work in background.

In case, it takes to long to work when holding the button and nothing appears it may be that you should try another usb charger.

It's easy bro, just focus and follow the steps and hopefully you will be update your device. Also, as someone in this forum already mentioned, maybe visiting the satio world website would help make things easier for you.

              Cheers!

I am in Canada too. My Satio was orignially provided by Vodafone. I have since debrand and reset West Europe as my new area. Then I was able to get the SE updates. There was a guide on Satio World about it. Try search online and see if you can still find it. Try "debrand Satio"

I have the phone for 2month now and it's amazing!
At first it was soso and the battery dies fast but with the help of Satio World I found S60V5 to be so customizable that it's now lightning fast and setup exactly like I want with great battery life.
I hope Satio World comes back soon. It’s where I learned all my tricks with some really talent and nice people/developers.
Tricks I learned and want to share:
Turn off 3G network if you don’t have a data plan, saves a lot of battery.
Instead of Sony’s theme, use the general one and setup the menu manually for faster access to apps.
Must get utility apps for better user experience:
1.Handy Taskman: Hold menu key for a task manager, makes Satio super muti-taskable
2.BatteryLife: Very accurate battery life reporting
3.X-plore: The interface is not the best but very powerful explore tool
                    My favorite apps:
Resco Photo Viewer: This is the best! Must have for Satio. Picture quality is just excellent for my DSLR photos.
                    ZXReader: Super customizable ebook reader.
Ovi Maps: Free offline GPS map. You will see me walking in a foreign country holding my Satio finding my way.
LVG Jukebox: Best sound quality out of all the players I tried. Have sleep mode
Skyfire: Can open everything. Dream come true on a handset.
Fring: I tried it and it works great. But since I don’t have a data plan yet I don’t use it much at home.
