alex, 08 Feb 2010Hi is this phone able to open new tab or new page just like... moreWell i wouldn't call it a tabbed system, but you are able to have a similar multi-page function in the browser. i'm sure you can download something with actual tabs. i believe the new version of opera has a tabbed option.

Factory Defect, 06 Feb 2010Do you know anymore about the defect? i purchased my sat... moreThat's because not all of the first batch units has a defect...but there are some that was pulled out and then was replaced by new ones with the updated software..well some of it was shiped to different countries...and luckily i have one of them... the guys at the service center told me that it is a factory defect..so they are getting some new parts (hardware) to make it work like new ones, but if not..they will replace it totaly with a new one.. also they told me that they can't just have it replaced with new one since there are step by step procedure to follow..although i don't need to pay for the repair and parts..but come on.. 1 month and 10 days and it broke down..it's already almost 2 weeks..and still my phone is still at the service center...for those who will buy S.E Satio...there are good traits and bad ..good because it is a great phone to shoot but it is a point and shoot type at nigh..also when your kinda far from the subject it is not that sharp, no 3.5mm jack..connector is used or the bluetooth stero h.set..but not all country has that..browsing is great..performance..fast enough...battery..depending on how you use it..applications themes and games are abundant...though not that fast on games..it's like playing Red Alert 2 on 300mhz CPU..kinda slow...weight..pretty light...no equalizer on music player..but just buy great h.set..and somehow solve the problem..video player is great i mean the display..it's like watching on HDTV...hardware is great but the software needs major updating... so pls. be advised :)...hope this will help..

does this satio phone come with a document viewer like window word, excel, powerpoint 0r a pdf. i want to know fast cause i am about buying this phone in the next 72hrs.

Web browsing is excellent on this phone, very ergonomic, it all flows well, and you don't get stuck on a page for an hour just trying to enter a password. Also the detail in the actual pages are great, don't have to squint or use the zoom button.

I am using Satio since last 2 months & here is my experience with it:
Size: very resonable not very big not very small . Look of phone is really impressive .
camera : No doubt its amazing & fast.Colors are very perfect to natural.
Signal reception & call quality : No problems at all. Its clear & loud.
Call quality thru speaker is not very loud but its very clear.
Touchscreen response: No problem at all. very responsive & easy to use.
Wifi : Its just like a any N Series Nokia phones. Runs fine
Ringtones quality : Its loud & clear specially with mp3 ringtones
Performance : No freezing , no restart itself . looks very reliable.
Battery : Battery life is good for about 3 days on average use & one & half day with heavy heavy usage ( take lots of pictures, Wifi on, bluetooth on) . Not bad at all .
So, Overall i am very happy with this phone. ITS AMAZING.

I have had about 12 Phones in the past 10 years. 2 of them have been been SE k800i, and k850i. These have by far been the best, because I am a social person and i like to take pics where ever i go, however i hate logging around a camera which is always likely to get lost after a few drinks.
My most recent phone was a HCT touch pro and although it was a "smart phone", it was a slow, unreliable, glitchy and overly technical piece of crap.
I have had my Satio for about 2 weeks now, and I absolutely love it. IIt is fast, with zero lag, even when running alot of apps.
It uses Symbian 6 5th Addtion, and its fantastic. Totally craps all over windows 6 and I find it as easy to use as the apple Ipone OS.
In terms of finding Apps, themse music and all that, do not go into google and search satio themse as alot of people seem to be doing.
This phone uses Symbian, the same as N8500 and other higher end nokia phones. Everything is pretty much universal. An app or theme which will work for those phones will work on the Satio. I just cant believe no one has mentioned that on this site yet. The phone is not supported by Sony Erricson, so stop sayingthat they dont support it. Its mainly supported by Symbian and all the awesome people and companies who make apps and themes and games for the OS. There are thousands on the NET. You can find them on Torrents sites, or by just searching google. Its simpl a matter of knowing what to look for. Dont look for "Satio" apps and games anf themes. You will be very dissapointed, because no one makes anything for "Satio". Its all made for Symbian OS.
So far i have 47 awesome highly deatiled themese, 12 games and a stack of extra apps and thats just from when i have been bored. My phone is customized too the tea and its super easy.
Also if you are after specific apps like skype or Live messenger and that sort of thing, just search it but for Symban s60 5th.
E.g Skype for Symbian s60 5th.
Search: "symbian s60 5th themes" and other similar searches and you will find what you want easily.
So Easy!!!
I love this phone, the camera is great, for those who bag it, shut up because although it is not an actual stand alone camera, it is the only phone i can take around with me to anyw club party and such and take great pictures without worrying too much about quality. And no one needs ultra shap high quality pics on a night out, this is a great phone for social people, i'm not a photographer, nor do i give a stuff about quality (even though this phone quality is stupidly good).Sony erricson make great phones, very functional, easy to use and has apps galore, if you know how to look for them.
I rate it 10/10 in relation to all the phones I have ever had. I find it better than the Iphone in the sense that i know that its a great phone, and not a featureless, overly marketed dudd.
The only thing that would make it better would be 3mm jack and then it would be a perfect phone :) I hope this has been helpful to those interested in getting it.

can any one give me lil advise about satio n omnia II ? coz within this week i m going to buy any one of this... but i m not sure which one i should go.. need ur opinion guys.. coz i bet u guys back there are masters of mobile who knows more n better than me ..... so plz help me out.

hey guys, please this carefully to urself, the satio is only good for 1 thing and that is camera, the touch senstivity is really bad, as my cuzin bought one recently, the browsing is extremely low...
i say unles you don't mind what phone u want get it, otherwise don't please, waste of money...xxx

Just open you Media from the Standby screen and go to photo gallery either select Latest Photo, Camera Album or Pictures. Select or touch the photo, after touching the photo it will give you 4 icons below the screen, select the first one on your left side and you will find different options there and that includes assigning photo contact (note that this 4 icons disappear in few second so you need to touch the screen to show again).
