I just bought a Satio phone last friday (dec. 18, 09).
I also, have gone through a lot of thinking before buying this phone because of the complaints I have heard. But bcause I want a nice camera fon. I went on with the Satio. Although, I have considered getting the Samsung Pixon 12-it's the design that I didn't like bcoz it looked just like the other Samsung units. Nothing distinguishes itself being a 12 mp camera from the rest. I wanna get what's worth what I pay. I am not gonna pretend. I would buy an expensive phone, to satisfy myself and to show-off as well.
Anyway, I live in Malaysia. Should I think only the Satios that were released in Europe have problems? Perhaps, I should. So far, I dnt have any problem with the phone. I even used the phone to a solid test in the same evening i got the phone. I didn't recharge the phone to full bar. When I got home I plugged it into my pc sync my number. Set it up for use. Then didnt even get a full recharge. Went out to a party used the camera. I got around 50 pictures and took a couple videos appxmtly 10 mins. Had friends calling to me. I used music video for ringtone. I got home late...5 am. I still have a little less than half battery. Voila!
I updated the software today and yes, its way better. Yes, it is not as sensitive or as brilliant when it comes to its touch screen compared to Iphone. Had I phone have 12mp fon i'd go for it. But I have an Ipod touch, so it really doesnt matter.I got free movies (they have nice choices) from the website of SE. Free music Videos. Free games (Prince of Persia and Asphalt.). It's not as good as playing it on my psp or my ps3 but it's good enough to play with when I'm out and I dnt have my psp.
I still wish they- SE Satio should have used their usual interface or OS instead of Symbian. But the goodside is I can get a lot of applications and themes and the likes everywhere. Thanks to Nokia.
Satioworld.com has very accomodating members willing to help guys who have just acquired Satio.
I don't regret buying this phone.
I have no fave brand. I just go with what I like.
If i ever have problems with Satio in the future. I may get pissed but I will deal with it. But as of the moment, I like it a lot!!!

Satio in MEA region is all Old sets collected when withdrawn. No set has latest update to show from fresh stock. Price even more than shown on gsmarena site why I don't know. Nobody should buy forget a failed set.
My experience with Chinese made set is total collapse could not start after hang, still waiting for replacement, with new fix exes, than do it myself.
shows the jammed stock in hand, will never take unless new stock arrives, maybe next year. Forget Satio now!

1- Satio has the best 12 mgpxl camera in the world, so people who love taking photos will love it.
2- Satio has the best video recording after omnia hd.
3- Satio's screen has a higher resolution than the iphone and the screen looks more brighter and colorful.
4- Satio has a symbian os, which means you can use nokia's + se is applications all together. So, never worry about the applications.
5- Satio has a processor that allows it to play games better than the iphone! Yes this is true, just give the satio some time and you will see the best games on it.
6- Satio has a brilliant sound, So when you hear your music by your blue-tooth set, you will enjoy the best music experience in the world. I am 100% that no other brand will defeat the quality sound of satio.
7- SE has put a lot of care in the satio and we already so the first update on it that made the device amazing, so if you have the satio don't worry because se will take good care of you.
8- Satio can be used as a phone that will last with you very long. unlike the iphone which has nice features but using it in a dialy basis will lead to many problems that you need to fix.
9- Satio is the ultimate device that gives you the best camera, phone, games, browsing experience with the price it has. It's the deal you will never get with another phone.

To all those friends who post negative about SE Satio, you have heard a proverb that "A monkey does not know the taste of Ginger" No other cell phone maker company can beat Sony Ericsson in the field of technology. It is on the top level. Speed (Processing), Camera and Sounds clearness and shortcut operations are unbeatable. Other companies can not achieve this level in next 20 year. SE is 20 years ahead of all those cheap companies. I am using c510 and tried a lots of phones of Sony Ericsson. All Models are best. I also tried NOKIA, Bakwaas Operating, slow processing and others. MOTOROlA Company is the worst company in cell phone manufacturing era. Samsung Company do not have his own standard they even do not know what they are manufacturing.well bye

The photography on the phone is fantastic, and is backed up by a decent video player as well. The sheer amount of customisation to your photography is great, but we all know Sony Ericsson can do this well.
Media was also well put together – the Satio really could be your media hub (if the file compatibility problem is solved). Video, Music, YouTube, iPlayer - you can't really ask for more.
Add to that a well designed, light handset with decent elements like a nice RSS reader and you've got a nice pack.

Sadly there was a lot to dislike too. What's more annoying is the phone is just filled with little niggly points rather than one big problem, like the HTC Hero had with lag before the firmware update.
No dynamic scrolling, a fiddly accelerometer, no smart-fit on the web browser, inaccurate touchscreen... the list goes on. I am sure most people can live with this for the functionality the Satio brings – but the question is: would you want to?

You must understand that most users who bash SE here, hate the brand because it's successful, trust me most of them even don't have a SE. They just keep saying we have it and it's the worst thing bla bla bla not true. Go check the reviews and take a look of the customer satisfaction. Most of the users are very happy with their satio and appreciates it. And as I told you before SE always has updates for it's devices, so even in the case that you may have some problems or issues with the phone. For sure the update will fix it. Enjoy your next satio ;).

that's what i needed and what i believe long time ago is that SE is an advanced phone for an advanced mind not like other phones which are limited tech. with limited options.

So, why get confused now? Why doubt the brand? Dude you should trust your own experience. The satio is the best phone in the world, take my word for it. And SE is the best when it comes to quality and reliability.

i really got confused from all whats posted here, is it a good phone or a bad phone ? i used more than 5 or 6 different models of SE in the last couple of years and none of them were bad, last one i had was the K850i , i trust the brand but still confused , can any one help ?
