hi,i bought a satio and its mediaplayer has phots and videos and no music player.When i use the onscreen music button,the phone freezes.how do i get back the musicplayer?

The only thing that i would like to complain on this phone is: the phone internal memory always full with no reason!!! i checked all the internal c drive and folders and has nothing in it but still tell me memory full. this is kinda ridiculous, if someone know how to solve this problem plz post it, thanks so much..

Satio is the worst phone I have ever owned in the 16 years since I got my first mobile. Even with the R2KA006 firmware it is terrible. The phone is laggy and sluggish in everything from the most simple basic functions like texting to high powered stuff like 3D games. The GPS takes an eternity to get a lock on even in the middle of an open prairie with open sky in all directions. This is the same regardless of which GPS app is used. The Wifi randomly disconnects/loses signal even when 2 feet away from the hotspot. It sometimes freezes for anything up to 2 minutes when moving between menus (e.g. when going into the Applications folder) or when exiting a heavy duty app like a Symbian HD game (e.g Ferrari GT). This renders the phone completely unusable often at critical times. The camera can also suffer from lag when changing settings and the video recording is prone to stuttering. Image quality is only fair and nowhere as good as promised. Because Sony Ericsson refuse to provide any updates for this since February 2010, there is no way to update system programs such as the web browser and the Youtube app, meaning they are now nearly 2 years out of date. The default home screen layout is ridiculous, the alternate home screens are worse, and very little can be changed. Most of the stuff that can be changed is of very little use e.g. bookmark shortcuts for the out of date web browser.The main homescreen of Satio can't even display an animated gif as wallpaper, though it's sibling the Vivaz can use shockwave flash as wallpaper. The battery life is beyond bad, even when the phone was new. It struggles to get a day out of a full charge (i.e. from morning rise to bedtime, I do not even mean a 24 hour day) - that is with bluetooth and wifi off, and without using the phone to make calls or any other activity. On a day with some moderate use, the battery is usually down to less than 15% after just 8 hours. The auto rotate function is a nightmare, as in most cases it cause the phone to freeze whn going between portrait and landscape mode. The only thing that I like about this phone is the media player, but even that needs some criticism. The music sound quality is very good, but it requires an equalizer which must be downloaded and installed as a separate app if you wish to have features such as "Mega Bass". The video is only fair and requires the use of Sony's Media Go software to get it into the right format. There is no support for Divx or Xvid and no support for Matroska. I have not been able to find any third party apps that play these either. However that is probably something that all S60v5 phones lack, so while a bad point, it isn't just the Satio. Lastly the resistive touchscreen is not very nice to use. It isn't very responsive, and scrolling can be very hit and miss if you are using an app with a thin scrollbar at the side. I found myself having to use the stylus for much more than just text input, as finger use is very awkward and inaccurate. (I found myself using my nail rather than my fingertip, in an attempt to improve the accuracy.)
I probably should add that I also have another S60v5 phone; a Nokia N97 mini, so I know that these problems are something
In short avoid this phone, and if you have the misfortune to already own a Satio, since normal channels of communication are ignored by them, let Sony Ericsson know your displeasure by speaking with the only language they will understand. Speak with your wallet, and buy some other brand of phone next time.

I purchased this phone when it first was available worldwide. I had it imported to the US and have had issues with many different things. Every once in a while the phone just dies, no apps running, I just go to use it and the battery is dead. SE has completely cut off support for this device and won't update a potentially good phone. SE failed with this device because they teamed up with Nokia and have no support for extra applications or expansion. The built-in phone features are great, and the cmaera works fantastically, but other than that it has severe issues. Also if you purchesd the international version of this for use in the US, you will hate your life with this phone.

I already used satio for a year now and the phone never let me down...no lag,no gettin hot without reason,no everything...so why you guys have all this problem and i'm not? it's gettin weirder for me when i see one of you guys say that this phone can't play HD videos..my satio can play HD videos just fine..btw,try to too upgrade ur satio with the FIRMWAVE update by sony...maybe it fixs all of ur problem..go to this link to download the upgrade http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/mobilephones/downloads/subject/updateservice/satio?cc=my&lc=en

I've been using this mobile phone. I find that the phone battery runs out quickly. so, it disturbs me because I was the one who like to travel very much. when the phone's battery runs out, it burden me to communicate with anyone.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2011bought a bst-40, it does not fit....bad adviceit really does not fit with the battery cover in it, i bought a hardcase to cover the battery because i didn't put back the battery cover...

hi friends. I was using dis phone from may onwords.as per me its not a best mobile,just a gud mobile.xcelent feature of dis phone is camera.so many disadvgs r there for dis mobile.browgs is very slow and touch screen sometimes nt respondg properly.

hi i am facing some technical problem in my phone , how long does it take for a service center to replace a mother board in a phone & deliver back to us , why is it that all your service center's send the phones chennai for repairing why not in bangalore , when bangalore is well equipped with all sort of technical engineer's .I visited one of the service center's of sony ericsson , the guy there mentioned the mother board is gone it isn't working , ok fine he told it will take 2 weeks to get it done as it has to be done in chennai , fine , He spoke to one of the Area Manager in chennai & he said it isn't possible coz mother board isn't available , And then i asked how much would it cost me , he says he doesn't know? I am regretting buying this damn phone.

I have been owning this phone since beginning of November 2009. Back than it was good , but if i was buying new phone now , i would not buy this one by any chance.
Touch screen is bad compared to Iphone's and samsung's super amoled's. Although when u get used to it it is ok.
About flash support , easily depletes the availiable ram and it lags badly than.
No Multitouch > that leads to no pinch zoom and browser experiance is badly overall.
Applications are not good as well. Lacks more applications. Also no symbian updates + se updates .
Lacks kinetic scrolling in many menu
