I know Symbiam is a Nokia software, but is not a software that you can't change, it needs to be managed, and i believe that all i mentionated before can be fixed on a firmware update. i like the Satio, but it need's more SE touch and less Nokia.
And please don't tell me to get used to the new software, the media player mixing the ringtones is just not right and annoying. and be able to change the tones only in the profile menu... no words.

s.e did use symbian before it was the uiq version tho which has been discontinued,,

yes you are right in what you say for example when you bluetooth over a song ,video, picture it recieves it as a mssge,,thats always been the symbian way since nokia 3650..you might have been better getting aino as thats a feature fone..

Hi there, I've been a huge sony ericsson user and fan since sony was all alone. this is my first time using a touch phone from SE, the new Satio (or U1). sadly i'm not 100% happy.
1st - no wap/mms settings for my operator Orange in France, search on forum's and found the settings using my phone as a Nokia 5800XM.
2nd - when pairing my BT HBH-DS205 it won't auto pair, i had to opens BT settings and add the headphone manually.
3rd - when you need to dial a number and need to dial a name (ex. 1 800 next step) i don't know where the letters are i only see numbpad.
4th - when writing a SMS, MMS or anything else with the numeric keypad i have to use the Nokia system, and that is totally different from what any sony ericsson user is used to... (i know that i can use the full keyboard, but i type faster on alphanumeric keypad)
5th - No phone status when pressing volume key, or time when in standby (screen off or black)
6th - no capuchin support (wather level don't work)
7th - In music player all the ringtones appear in the music list, what is annoying when you choice to play all musics.
7.1th - in the sound files folder we have too options to place the songs: Digital sounds (where the "media go" software place the music. and we have another sound files folder that i suppose is to place the phone tones. but the music player insists to mix all them.
8th - all time sony ericsson in the file manager we can in options use the file as for music to ringtone, alarm or contact, and for picture as background, contact. Now i have to go to especific settings, change the sound or picture and search among all them. I mean is not user friendly at all.
9th - when receiving a file from BT it reveives it as an SMS when before it places the item in the respective folder and give all the options you want to do or can do.
10th - when i send all my contacts from my "old" W995 via BT it only received the 1st contact in my list, i had to wait till i get home and sync
11th - the flash wallpapers don't work, i have a static wallpaper.

HELOO GUYS
I HV NOTICED THT in sony phones fourm lot of people comes like fool samsung fan boys, fool nokia fanboys etc etc
and make lots of comments against sony as if they r always under some threat from SONY
but no sony fan is seen in samsung fourm or nokia fourm bcoz
we know SONY is best they also know this tht's y feel attracted to sony and come here but never accepts this fact
we sony guys dont go there bcoz there is all sh*t
CONCLUSION: SONY IS BEST AND CENTRE OF ATTRACTION every one want it but some cant afford and some r too loyal fools .
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\IT'S SONY ALL THE WAY////////////////
((((and dont worry in reality as usual a sony wiht less color will look way better than any nokia or samsung))))
i dont know y nokia and samsung even with more color looks so infirior to sony i think they need to learn a lot from sony

I've just done bit of messing around based on what you've just said, and if you take a non-landscape photo and set it as a wallpaper, it zooms and rotates it. BUT...if you edit the photo and rotate it first, and then set the new edited photo as the wallpaper, then it does actually makes a massive difference and the pics fit a lot better.

Striker, 12 Nov 2009I don't think anything can be done about the issue of it zo... moreThe only thing i can think of which is quite similar is it depends on which way the photo is.. if its taken as a landscape photo then it isnt fitted to the screen, hence why its zoomed in. But if you try rotating it and then set it?! Might make it better?!xx

I want my Satio NOW!! I alredy have a K850 n I love it! but....reading all these comments make me want to have one. Congrat to all who own one!! from Argentina, La Rioja. Elias (Does anybody have an extra Satio n dont want it?....I´ll accept it!!)

hi, i just got my satio yesterday. i noticed that when i set my wallpaper to any image i clicked with the camera, it zooms in the image..can anything be done to stop this ??
any help will be appreciated..

Why are people commenting about phones other than the SATIO on this page?! Theres a reason why theres different forums for different phones...If we wanted to know about the OMNIA then we would go on that page!! You'll have so much more fun with the other Omnia lovers!!

I'm getting my Satio tomorrow sometime through Vod... moreI have the satio with voda too and i love it! Not a fan of touch screens but getting on with it well, cameras amazing, isnt too slow so overall great phone!!
Only downside is that the apps arent ready for it yet, but im sure theyl be coming soon so not too bothered!!
