i got this phone a week ago on vodafone,...find it pretty good in everyway. all i m gobsmacked by the apps store which is not available and dont when it is available. camera is awesome regarding others in the market with 8 gb memory card free makes more sweet...i m just waiting for the day i can download apps on this fone....

Quick question for anyone who is slightly tech minded.
I just had to reset this phone as was a nightmare as lost all my settings and had to start from scratch but I have a bad feeling this is going to happen quite often until Sony ericsson release a new firmware update.
Can anyone tell me if you can make a restore point on this phone with your up 2 date settings.

as i repeat that i am a sony ericsson fan , but i dont like to mislead the forum by saying sony ericsson rules as some people say
to rule , sony ericsson should have the lion share of the market , now we are on the 5 th level after nokia , samsung , lg ans moto , so how sony ericsson rules?
also to rule you should be strong financialy als, to be honest samsung and nokis rules in this segment .
so please let stop using these terms and let us be productive and realistic in our comments in order to gain the respect of our competitors ..

Has anyone yet had to reset factory settings on this phone, my themes and shortcuts have frozen and do not work at all.
Do you think its worth trying a reset which is a pain in the ar-- becuase will lose all my settings

...haha!!!Sony EricssoN finally wins!!!...the only thing Samsung Pixon12 beats the "KING of cameraphone" is the image quality.....but over aLL,Sony EricssoN Satio wins out of it's Best!!!...Great Job SonY EricssoN!

i think that the new se director policy wont work , since most of the sales are on the midrange and cheap phones !

the SATIO speaker is loud enough for playing songs...BUT when it comes to using it for handsfree during calls the output volume is low...i hope they correct it with new firmware...

We know about that new Bravia phone(actually I know about it). That phone is very good Japanese phone, but it is for Japan, not for Europe, or America. Japanese phones will enter on Europe probably next year. :)

This phone is NOT for the Japanese market, it is for the whole world, but NOT for Japan. Japan has MORE advanced phones like SE has, don't get me wrong, I like this phone, coz I am a Se fan! I think I talked with you once, and I told Japan is on an other level of mobile technology. In Japan there are 8 mobile phone manufactures, they don't need other phones on Japan. Nokia tried his luck, but that luck was for a short time. Japan is the MOST advanced on mobile phones. :) You can try a Sharp phone, go to an Ntt Docomo store, and buy one, or buy a Fujitsu, or a Panasonic phone. And in Japan you can find Japanese phones on Au by kddi store. That is another mobile carrier.

The Idou is the Satio. The Idou was the first name of the phone, the final name is Satio. Now there is NO Idou anymore. :) The phone is available on 3 colours, on black, on silver, and on bordeaux. I think the silver is the coolest. :D Buy this phone if you wants to take good pictures, and if you want a smartphone. This is the first 12Mp smartphone announced, and it is available in many places! :)

what is difference between SE stio and SE Idou ?
we noticed that Satio is the black color and had old version but Idou is the silver and Bordeaux colors and have newer version than Satio.
can any one ensure that or correct my information????
